See you in the booth
How can you hold this against the GM. How many guys would keep the Manager when theyw ere hired as GM. I was surprised Buck lasted as long as he did, considering he was hired by Ash.
Ricciardi is trying to turn this team around and needs to be given time to make it work. He seems to be off on the right foot with guys like Lawrence and Hinske... | pieman

You had to expect that Martinez was going to go. Ricciardi is doing what he can but is burdened by long term crappy contracts that he cannot move - Mondesi, Cruz, Stewart (what a stiff). Even Delgado is overpriced. They have some real work to do to try and bring in prospects for this load of crap. I think Ricciardi and Keith Law (ex of the Baseball Prospectus) bring a lot of knowledge to the team and they will be very good 3 or 4 years from now. | Bullitt

Talked to us for at least an hour after a game one night (my buddy's friend was the bullpen catcher.) I'm glad he's getting a shot... | drjayphd

People could blame it on young pitching not developing, but they weren't developing before Martinez got hired. It was just a tradition--new GM comes in, old manager is gone by the end of the year, unless the team wins the Series. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
