Being the college football nut I am, I always get really excited for spring practice season, which is now over for all teams. Following FSU like I do, I know how they are looking but figured maybe you guys had some insight on your own teams you could share to help feed my need.

Anyway to recap FSU's spring, the changes are working nicely thankyouverymuch. The QB's both are still learning but certainly putting up better numbers than previous springs for either of them. I'm not confident enough to say either Weatherford or Lee will rock, but I think they'll be much improved come game time.

The big story is the running game. Antone Smith my friends, it appears to me has the chance to be the great running back they haven't had in over a decade. They told the whole team they were soft, made all the offensive lineman get lean and strong, and bulked up all the WR's. In scrimmages the WR's were actually putting on some of the biggest hits, which is a huge change. Basically Smith ran wild all spring. I can't wait. Biggest problem is gonna be the schedule as they play Virginia Tech in the regular season for the first time since they joined the ACC, plus the usual game against Florida and have to deal with Nick Saban and Alabama.

As a bonus, thanks to the new coaching staff, they have changed how they recruit and amazingly they have one of the top ranked classes for next year at this point.

Other notes from stuff I've read...Miami's offense still looks horrid. Went to the Texas spring game and they look pretty good. The backup QB's kinda stole the show as both can run really well.

Still follow Missouri a bit, and they look like they'll keep improving. Hard to say how much, but this Daniels kid is for real. He's got a monster ego, but it's something they've lacked so I'm cool with it. I think they can maybe challenge Nebraska for the North title, but we'll see. It is still Missouri after all.

and have to deal with Nick Saban and Alabama.

Thus making the impossible possible and compelling me to root for FSU for one time only.
