Awesome, just awesome stuff. The parts with Surresh were a little lame, and seeing Peter soak up the nuclear powers was awesome.

The previews of next week, with George Tekai, I don't want to wait.

This seemed like filler to me. There wasn't a whole lot of plot advancement, either. This may be due to the fact that this was the first one I watched in real time, with all gazillion commercials. A disappointing hour for me. Someone convince me otherwise, please?

I did not like the Sylar Family Time story. It gave the character some depth, which is good in some cases, but I'd rather he'd stayed as an unstoppable evil psycho who shows no remorse for anything. I wonder if he thinks Hiro had something to do with his mother's death. And also, how in the hell did time get unfrozen? Did Hiro slip up, does Sylar have some power that did it, or is someone else involved there?

A lot of this episode was filler, but still entertaining. That's how Heroes is a lot of times -- they'll have a setup episode followed by a couple killer shows where everything gets paid off. That's why this show will be awesome to watch marathon style once the DVDs get to the video rental stores.

I actually thought this was the best of the three episodes since Heroes' long hiatus ... I wasn't ready to declare that the show had jumped the shark just yet, but there was definitely something missing from the previous two episodes.

Last night renewed my faith in the series' vitality

I'm assuming that Hiro (in a moment of weakness) simply lost his concentration and accidentally started time back up again ...

I thought it was just his ability to nullify anything that's happening to him, like he did twice previously with the drugs. In this case, it didn't just allow Sylar to step out of time with Hiro, it turned off Hiro's powers completely.

I don't think they need to try and create sympathy for Sylar at this point. Sometimes, it is ok if a villain is evil just because he is evil.

I liked the episode a lot. Sylar's motivation to try and be "special" was revealed here. I think he didn't necessarily mind that all those people were going to be killed, it just didn't make sense to him "why" he'd do it. There was a lot of "mother issues" in this episode. Sylar's mom, Mrs. Petrelli, "fake" mom for Micah, and Jessica/Nikki again.

As for Sylar negating Hiro's power...his Mom didn't "unfreeze" until after Hiro left if I remember correctly?

I'm beginning to wonder if Mrs. Petrelli's power might be some kind of subtle mind "influence".

As for the illusion caster, her threat to show Micah things that would "mess him up" was a little chilling, no?

Also, I finally liked Mohinder in this episode, he showed signs of a personality finally. Also, knowing that the "Walker tracking system" is the little girl kind of throws a kink in their plans to "disable" it.

Speaking of the little girl. Did anyone else catch her statement about Sylar as the bogeyman? "He looks into their soul then eats their brain"? Has it been revealed before that Sylar was in fact eating the brains of his victims? I basically assumed that he ate the brains but I don't recall a moment when it was actually confirmed on the show.

I loved this weeks episode. I think the plot movement was just fine. If anything I felt that it was more rushed than slow. We caught a glimpse of just about everybody in this episode. We saw Hiro attempt to fulfill what he thinks is his destiny. Peter convincing Claire that she has to follow through with her destiny. Peter finally absorbing Ted's powers. We also learned a little bit more about how the Petrelli mom fits into things...sorta, and many more.

Overall I think this weeks episode moved a little faster than most of the previous episodes. There are still a lot of unanswered questions, but I was very happy last night!

Well, it is Mother's Day this weekend. And what better way to say "I love you, Mom" than painting a nuclear explosion on the floor with her blood?

Maybe it's just me, but if I went around soaking up every superpower I came in contact with, and I knew there was a guy in town who was radioactive, I'm pretty sure I would stay the hell away from him. Was it REALLY the best idea for Peter to go seek out Ted??

It's even stupider for Sylar. "Oh no, I'm going to blow up New York with a new radioactive power I don't have yet!" Why not try NOT EATING RADIOACTIVE GUY'S BRAIN.

I think that's just the case of seeing the world through the eyes of a little girl, who can't really comprehend what she's seeing ... it's probably "easier" for her to think of a pyschopath - using telekinesis to lop off the top of her parents' heads - as just the Boogeyman (who's COMIN TO GETCHA) eating brains.
