I'd have used either the I-Cubs logo or something else, but decided on "RIP", since that's what I consider his career. Promote this thread! | | Gugs

I just can't believe they waited this long to do this. When a guy makes NINE trips to the DL in a couple of years time, it is obvious something is wrong here.
Now to wait for the inevitable news that Kerry Wood is out for the season.

His mechanics were so good and solid to begin with, that made the damage less than it might have been. He's only 26, so with rehab and his solid mechanics, by the time he's 28, he might be back on track for a career. | AWArulz

The fun game is pitting the Cubs against their American League kindred souls the Tampa Bay Devil Rays (who essentially are the Cubs without the ivy) and seeing which team wins more games this year. They play in a tougher division, but, the Devil Rays have a good shot of pulling it off. | It's False

Pinella said from the beginning that the Cubs would play out the year expecting to be without Prior and Wood. With the NL Central being a really weak division this year, Zambrano can easily carry this team on his back. Shockingly, I can still see the Cubs making the playoffs. | Mr. Boffo

Fittingly, the problem is that with Sheets out, the bullpen let the game slip away. | R-Dub

I wouldn't use that phrase with Cubs fans. It makes them itchy.
