| #1 Posted on 30.5.02 2249.48 Reposted on: 30.5.09 2252.33 | Call me crazy, but I think next season's Tough Enough would be infinitely more entertaining if MTV/WWE made a few "minor" changes:
- Have the wrestlers-to-be spend their nine weeks in a Motel 6, four to a room, instead of a posh house;
- Make bologna sandwiches a regular once-a-day meal;
- For some of the guest appearances, have some of the road agents who used to wrestle in the '80s (I'm thinking Finlay, Arn and Sgt. Slaughter, feel free to add to this) come on board and tell the TE trainees how the business REALLY works.
- An optional change could be to have the training center be a couple hours away from said Motel 6 described above so the trainees get a gist of "being on the road."
Okay, so the ratings would be sketchy, but it'd be kinda neat to see who could hack it this way. (I sure as hell couldn't, I'll admit that right now.)
Feel free to comment, but my flame-retardant suit is at the cleaners, so be gentle please. =) Promote this thread! | | Stephanie

Now, that's a mixed blessing, for while it would eliminate the poorly-prepared early, I also believe that some people with true talent would not even bother to try out if they thought that a shared room at the Motel 6 and a "loser lunch" (bologna on hand) were all that awaited them if they chose wrestling as a career.

Of course. I was halfway-joking writing that up. Maybe I was just tired of seeing this season presented as it was a poor man's "Real World." *shrug* | drjayphd

Then take them to Mexico for some lucha and rudo training, under masks no less. Finally, go to Japan, train in Bodukan Hall, and the men work in All-Japan, and the women in GAEA. Now we will really see who is tough enough. | J. Kyle
