You would think so, but usually Wrestlemania will actually give you fresh matchups. Bound for Glory this year was a joke; I believe every single match (or at least pushed match) was a rematch of at most two months prior.

The Lethal push confuses me. To what extent can they infringe upon another guy's gimmick? I'm not surprised Lethal is receiving this second nudge toward the division frontline (he rode a nice wave of popularity to a title match against JJ in a match that rivaled TAKA/Triple H for convincing me Jay had a chance). He moves quickly, sells well, and is busting out a new finisher just in time for a greater profile.

My hope is that Sonjay gets jealous and turns on him, leading to a blowoff match. Both guys have carried the division even during the three-minute TV matches that end in roll-ups. Sonjay deserves some elevation as well; I consider him the secret weapon of the division. I'm glad to see Alex Shelly move away from those guys for a bit, as he tended to get lost amid Starr, Sabin, and Senshi. This allows Team 3D to move to Shelly/Starr once their long, long epic brawl with LAX end.

I don't care about Abyss or Sting or Styles or Rhino even thought TNA has given us extended feuds with those four. That meaty program is just what the organization needs, but I'm still not sure Sting/Abyss have earned that angle's prominence in their matches. It has in no way matched Sting/Vader or even Sting/Guardian Angel, and if TNA wanted to recreate his energy against big guys, they've eclipsed that potential with bizarre gimmicks. I don't begrudge the redemption theme to the angle, but I was more curious to see the foreshadowed corruption angle after Sting took the belt.

The real problem with AJ is his size. As you bring more and more ex-WWE guys in, your guys like Daniels and AJ seem less and less like credible championship contenders.
And I know Rey Mysterio won the World Title in WWE, but he's always had that "giant killer" kind of gimmick and so it was believable. I don't see AJ going that route.

But before AJ turned heel, he was a bit of a giant killer as well. One of his bigger profile wins in the heavyweight division was that awesome cage match he had with Abyss.

And now that he is a heel, his size is neglible because he can cheat to win or in my favorite heel mannerism, piss the face off enough to make a stupid mistke and take advantage of it.

I can realistically believe watching AJ beat Abyss, Ryno, or Steiner. At least as much as I can believe HBK beating bigger guys like Cena, HHH, Kane, Orton, or even being able to hold his own vs. Undertaker at the Rumble. If we are just talking about difference in size.
