This was a home run episode. We got a great and much needed rebound for Michael after the two Phyliss episodes. Michael shows the tech generation that sales is still a people business, plus there was a bat in the office!

I don't work at an office, but I have had a bat bust loose in my work area before and many things that closely resemble this episode happened that day.

Just a great freaking episode.

I was joking before the show that, since Joss Whedon was directed, Dunder Mifflin was going to be attacked by vampires. So that was a nice suprise.

Overall, I thought the show was....ok. The episode was made by Michael genuinely appreciating Pam's art. Good thing he actually had something in his pocket. All season, I've been on the Roy V2 bandwagon, but I think the wheels blew right off of that one today. He was totally blowing smoke up Pam's ass about the art show, then showing up with his brother trumpeting the fact that HE was there, and no one else (see Jim) from the office came by. He must have not run into Mr. and Mr. Oscar, methinks. Creed showed that he is indeed the coolest, most prepared and ready for anything guy in the world...and was friggin Toby, he of the smokin girlfriend, hitting on Pam? Supwiddat? Ryan...punished...annex....Kelly....serves him right. I do wonder if anything good will ever happen to Meredith (free liquor at any of the office parties notwithstanding).

Count Halpula....priceless.

Line of the Night..."Gooooodbye!" when Stanley getting the hell out of dodge when the bat was loose. I laughed harder at that than anything all night.

Just a great fucking episode, and I'm guessing that Ryan wishes Michael had fired him instead of sitting him next to Kelly. Very little Jim this week, which is odd.

For me, it was all about Kevin's "I'm a hero!" That had me rolling.

Oh, and I couldn't figure out where I had seen the nerdy business school student before - the one who's book Michael tears up. I think it's David Daskal, from Average Joe 2: Hawaii

I'm so depressed I know that...

Creed and Dwight need to team up more often.

The whole Dwight as a Werewolf/Vampire killer was great. Jim "burning" his hand on the cold garlic bread had me rolling, and it just went from there.

I like watching Roy try to be the perfect boyfriend. It's like he knows what he's supposed to be doing, and he's sincere in his wanting to get Pam back, but he can't quite get into it or get it right.

Michael at the end did wrap it up nicely, though I was expecting Jim to show up.

Michael: What’s the most inspiring thing I ever said to you?

Dwight: “Don’t be an idiot.” Changed my life.

Dwight: Whenever I’m about to do something, I think, “Would an idiot do that?” And if they would, I do not do that thing.

When Creed was leaving did he call Meredith, Mary Beth? That just goes to show that Creed has no desire to know anything about his co-workers. Great stuff. Plus I freaked out when Meredith had her head trapped in the bag with the bat.

Much better episode than last week. This show has always has the ability to do sweet moments, without being heavy handed or cheesy.

Jim not showing up is a bit out of character. Even though he has tried to distance himself from Pam, he would show up to support her because he still cares about her. I will hold off and see if they explain it next week. Perhaps Karen wouldn't let him go?

In one of the deleted scenes on nbc.com, Karen almost tears one of Pam's flyers about the art show off the break room cabinet, for fear that Jim would see it and want to go. So since his long-night talks with Karen, maybe he's conversing less with Pam and maybe he didn't know about it.

It was interesting this week because Jim seemed to have zero interaction with Pam. Karen was his partner in crime while pranking Dwight, which I believe is the first time they've teamed up. And I'm definitely not buying Roy/Pam round 2. Pam seems even less happy this go around, which is saying a lot....
