Another home run show. More tension with Pam and Jim. More Dwight being clueless. Dwight dancing outside with Angela, was unexpected. This show gets better each week.

There's an ongoing trend with this show that every time there's a plot-driven episode, the next week has been just about guaranteed to let hijinks ensue with just enough plot to push it along. And boy golly did they ever.

There's a real tendency to make Michael clear a slightly higher bar, since by this point we know that any bit of public speaking usually equals awkward-flavored disaster. But instead of doing it with the material this time around, they went more for inappropriate timing, and that is absolutely for the better, because there's always going to be opportunities for them to have Michael say something stupidly inappropriate.

But even what bits of plot got pushed forward tonight, it showed that everyone was dealing with their own relationships in different ways in the face of the wedding of the new Mr. and Mrs. Refrigeration, whether it was resignment but badly in need of a clue bat, finding common ground or doing your best Dikembe Mutumbo impression at the bouquet.

EDIT: Oops, I was writing this when a thread actually started. If someone would be so kind as to weld the two threads with a hot torch, por fave?

Michael's toast had me rolling. "For the next 40 minutes..." like he had practiced and timed the whole thing, multiple openings and all. Dwight's explanation for staying in the wrong theater for so long was really funny too.

Did Ryan do anything this week?

I wish all episodes were an hour long.

He had only one moment tonight, but it was 24K gold. During the bouquet throw, he deflected the bouquet from Kelly to keep her from catching it.

Ryan's block also led to what I thought was the funniest moment of the show. "Toby....yes!"

Jim/Pam needs to get hurried up, since keeping them apart for so long is starting to get old. Seeing Pam go back to Roy was so disappointing, and I'm hoping she just ends up giving him a lift home or something.

I really wish that "Scrantonicity" had played at my wedding.

Loved Dwight's look after he bounced Michael.

I hear the Celtics offered Ryan a 10 Day Contract off of that block last night.

and the preacher saying "...and Bob Vance of Vance Refrigeration".

" and Bob Vance of Vance Refrigeration" had me fat laughing for five minutes afterwards. That they kept this going with a bit character like Bob Vance is a riot.

And thank GOD for Scrantonicity. Everytime they turned the band down on the show I groaned. Kevin was awesome.

Creed switching cards was awesome, almost as awesome as Jim training Dwight with Altoids. Poor Uncle Al, though.

I will count myself in the minority rooting for Roy to get Pam. Jim and Pam is such a feelgood thing, but it has been and will be a solid plot on the show that I think would be ruined by them finally hooking up. Karen is a cool, smart, funny, and totally hot chick. I dug seeing her sing lead with Scrantonicity! Jim, feelings for Pam notwithstanding, should be all kinds of happy with that. I like Roy V2, and want to see him get another shot. Cue the Barry White music, because people can change....

Toby. Yeah!

Yes, we finally get Scrantonicity! And it's nice to know that, even though they are a Police cover band, they can bust out the Jewel when they have to.

Michael seemed a little over the top last night, which was part of the problem with the character in the very beginning. He was more annoying than funny.

Pam's character has developed a layer of desperation, which I think is good. She was almost too perfect up until now. She now seems more realistic, as desperate people usually do desperate things. Like hook up with ex-boyfriends.

I got a phone call at one point (thanks, Mom). What did Jim say to the camera hypothetically about Pam?

I think it was something along the lines of Jim looking at Pam and Roy talking (or maybe leaving) and saying "Hypothetically; I like being with Karen" which then lead into him watching Karen singing along with Scrantonicity.

Right after calling Pam's 'dorky' dance moves cute, Jim says "Hypothetically, if I thought Pam was ... interested, then - No. It's totally hypothetical." The implication seemed to be that he was about to say he'd ditch Karen for Pam, but he doesn't think anything is there. Later on, he says "Here's a not hypothetical: I really like being with Karen." at which point he admires her singing.

I enjoyed the shot of Pam looking devastated when Jim was dancing with Karen, and the bookending shot at the end where Jim looked equally devastated when Pam left with Roy.

THEN he said he liked being with Karen.

My thoughts exactly. And hey, Roy didn't remember the wedding flowers, but that's HUGE that he remembered the prom flowers.

The altoids bit was greatness...and the payoff to the bit was classic. "what are you doing?" "I dunno, but my mouth feels really terrible right now."

I thought it was Michael that blocked the bouquet, I guess I didn't pay enough attention to that spot.

Nice job by Toby, he really reached above and beyond for his girl.

I gotta admit, I've missed Andy not being around the past couple episodes.

If you miss Andy already, then you better get used to Phyllis being gone as well - for six weeks!! What a honeymoon!

Andy's return from anger management classes should be fun. Hopefully it's not too far away.

Too much Michael for my tastes. I cringed half the time when he was on screen. I actually celebrated when he was bounced from the wedding party.

Karen singing EVERYTHING SHE DOES IS MAGIC was awesome. What a voice on her! Jim's cellphone "lighter wave" was really cute and touching.

A great episode; better than last weeks.

Same here. The episode was funny, but sometimes Michael is so over-the-top embarrassing that it becomes painful to watch, and this episode was the worst one I've seen for that.

Yeah, it almost seems like people leaving temporarily is going to be a regular thing, because (1) there are too many people to keep track of, and (2) it allows the characters to remain fresh.

I *thought* I saw that, but then afterwards I wondered if I had only imagined it because that would have been the best thing ever.

The worst Michael ever was Michael in Hooters with Jim.
