Though there's been a new map proposed that's less stylised and more geographically accurate: http://www.london-tubemap.com/ It would probably be more helpful for tourists in terms of seeing how close landmarks are to each other but I imagine there'd be complaints if they actually tried to replace the one everyone is used to.

No, really, I don't remember.
After spending an hour reconstructing my browsing history from six weeks ago, I *believe* we have an "alternate timeline" Underground map from here (alternatehistory.com) (post #4), although I'm certain that I just picked it up from ImageShack and had no idea it wasn't a real map. (I picked it because it was incredibly large and I prefer shrinking down large graphics rather than trying to blow up graphics smaller than 760px)

Thank you for doing that! I'd been searching for it much of yesterday without luck, so your efforts are much appreciated.
Even with the shrunk version I eventually figured it had to be some sort of fantasy map because I could just about work out Boris Island on it (e.g. the non-existant Thames Airport to the east of London). And as an extra plus, the map has my home town on it too. | dunkndollaz

I should start a Twitter account only pointing to banner sources.

All anyone in the national media seems to be talking about is this play, usually with them saying that they didn't see the hold, and the officials screwed up. Seeing the hold makes me feel better.
Great fake by Hester, of course. Now the team has to make sure they never fall for that ever again. |
