Since I was against the trade prior to the '04 Draft, can I now refer to Rivers/Merriman and others for Eli Manning as Joe Barry Carroll II? Only Arizona finds a way to win the game that will cost them the #1 pick overall. For the love of God, can we get the Lions off of Thanksgiving until they are at least competitive? And, who else is waiting for: With the First Pick in the 2007 Draft, the Detroit Lions select Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech? Still miraculous that the Lions winning percentage under Millen finds ways to further decrease. When did the 49ers regain mediocrity? And, why can they go from Dynasty to Dregs to Mediocre in a few years, while the Lions just remain Dregs? For those picking the games on the W Pick 'Em, remember, Thanksgiving falls on a Thursday this year. I know, I know, that rarely occurs, but get the picks in prior to the Lions game. | EddieBurkett

Also, this week starts the regular Thursday games, so for the rest of the season picks will need to be in early. | JayJayDean

If there was a two-way tie between only the Giants and Seattle, yes, but since Carolina is also 6-4, one team would either have to have swept or been swept for the head-to-head tiebreaker to apply, and Carolina hasn't played the Giants or Panthers. As a result, they ALL advance to the next tiebreaker, which is conference record, and the Giants are 5-2 while the Seahawks are 5-3. | EddieBurkett

Thanks for the clarification! (Even if Carolina will never play the Panthers :-P) | R-Dub

They talk about contraction in baseball, why not football. The Ford family obviously doesn't deserve to have a franchise. I guess as long as the checks clear, the NFL doesn't care. To be fair to Joey Harrington, he's been playing well in Miami. Much better than in Detriot. I think his play with the Lions could have also stemmed from simply being on a poor team. I mean, it's not they surrounded him with an o-line filled with all pros, and it's not like they got him quality receivers through the draft.
Of course, he did get a laugh in last night I suppose, eh?

I should have been more clear. My criticism is on Millen for drafting players who at this point are not even playing for the Lions. Of course, now Mike Williams has finally seen the field of play, so I have to scratch his name off the list. There really is no hope for this team.
