Holy crap, what an episode.

36 episodes of subplots and plots and continuity and it all blows up in a delightful 30 minutes of awesome.

Great things:
-Jim asking about Pam
-Pam asking about Jim
-Dunder Mifflin's plans revolving around Josh
-Andy's reaction
-Ryan's reaction to the news, then the newer news
-Kelly's reaction to the news, then the newer news
-Stanley's reaction to the news, then the newer news
-Karen's talking head
-Toby's talking head
-LOVE RHOMBUS!
-40 minute episode next week as the branches COLLIDE~!

You forgot about Michael's ringtone, had to DVR it back twice to find out it was "My Humps" by BlackEyedPeas.

I have really really gotten into this show this season, and eventually plan on getting the prior episodes on DVD to get completely caught up and in the know.

I thought this was the best episode of the season. I'm disappointed they're combining the branch this early- I blame it partly on November sweeps.

And I can't believe they didn't shut down Craig's branch.

"Let's see Josh find another Stanley. Do you think Stanleys grow on trees? Well they don't, there is no Stanley tree."

If next week is the 40 minute Office does that mean next week is the time change and Scrubs premiere or is that after the 40 minute episode?

On a sidenote, for those of you who watch TNA which will now come on the same time as the Office, you might be happy to know that NBC posts their episodes of the Office on the internet so they could be watched after Impact is over.

#1: Next week is 40 minute episodes of Earl/Office/30 Rock. Week after that is Thanksgiving, so no Must See. Super-duper regular Must See Thursdays (Earl/Office/Scrubs/30 Rock) begins November 30th.

#2: When Impact is as consistently awesome as The Office, I'll watch it instead of The Office.

I caught that - that was awesome.

Count me in as one who enjoyed this episode as well. As much as I think the show isn't as laugh-out-loud funny as it was last season, I think they've really developed a plot that is very entertaining.

I also loved how everyone was so disappointed when they heard the branch wasn't going to close after all:

"Costa Rica will still be there. When I'm 65."

I really, really hope Ed Helms' character joins Scranton. Interactions between him and Dwight would be priceless.

Being that Ed Helms, Karen, and fat guy are the only people we know from Stamford, I like their chances.

This episode was fierce.

My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. As Freeway said, many subplots kept this one "awesome" ...

I love Dwight telling Michael to drink the Gatorade to replenish his fluids.

Last Friday I started watching all of Seasons 1 & 2. I finished up last night just in time for the new episode. This show is great. Future Dwight was definitely the highlight for me. I agree with Leroy that Andy+Dwight will be incredible in the episodes to come. It seems to me that they could be either best friends or mortal enemies. I hope it ends up being both.

After having watched the entire series pretty much back to back, I'm really glad that the new episodes are at the point where Pam & Jim get reunited. I would have hated to have to wait any more than a week to get that story back on track. Its been such a well put together story thus far.

And now to make things even better, Scrubs is going to be on after The Office! I'm going to have to get caught up last couple seasons starts up. I watched Seasons 1 & 2 religiously, but various college things prevented me from watching for a few years.

Quezzy just reminded me that NBC posted an exclusive producer's cut online ( http://www.nbc.com/theoffice/ ) with about 10 minutes of additional footage. Two subplots that were cut out show what Meredith and Creed were doing on their respective last days.

Funny, I was just watching/listening to that to try to find a certain scene - where Michael spills the beans to the office. The look on his face as he tries to keep from crying is the funniest, best thing from him this season.

Loved Stanley - so happy to be getting the severance, only to have his hopes dashed once again.

Favorite line:
"Oh good, you're bringing Dwight."

I couldn't believe the Josh swerve. Fantastic.

OMG, Meredith was *fantastic* in the extra footage.

I hadn't seen anyone post about it, but if Jim takes the number two position....wouldn't he officially be Dwight's boss, Assistant Regional Manager (without the "to the")? Certainly adds a new wrinkle there. Also....does Dunder Mifflin have to buy the warehouse back from Bob Vance, Vance Refridgeration?

I will miss Chip Esten, though, and hope that he gets sick of Staples and comes back into the DM fold. Nice to see that, at least probably, big-chips-stuck-in-machine-guy is coming to Scranton!

That was definitely the best Dwight prank ever. The trigger may have been pulled too soon on the merger though, I figured Feb sweeps. Oh well, I am sure there will be a lot of preemption /reruns during the holidays.
This should be quite a love triangle the rest of the season. I feel sorry for Jim, poor bastard.

Dwight's gotten soft since he started dating Angela. A year ago, he would have never stopped Stanley from drinking the poisoned coffee.
