Review of Disc One:
Ok, I haven't even made it to Disc two yet. They packed this release FULL and most places on the internet have if for about 12.00 plus shipping or free shipping. Wally (Wal-Mart) world has it for 14.95. REALLY good deal for two disc set of anything even it is over 20 years old now. The commentary from Sue Blu(voice of Arcee) and the two others is pretty good. The Fan commentary is AWESOME as they point out thing that slightly flaw the movie but also make it more interesting and unique. So far it was well worth every penny to grab this release. If you are stil a Transformers the orginal series, this two disc collection is for you grab.
If you want pick up the anniversary toy, Optimus Prime, for about $70 too then it will make the experience complete.
I think about covered everything and if I time I'll try to ammend this post and put my thoughts on disc two without spoiling it for you.
***EDIT*** I just watched the second disc bonus features. The three new featurettes about the movie with people who worked on it and produced it. They were awesome plus some the Japanese commercial features were totally great see.
There are a few more features plus easter eggs that are on the DVD. It has some kind of interactive DVD-Rom feature that if you put it in there is still more content. I guess something linked to the web like most newer stuff nowadays. Anyways, STILL an total worth while grab even though it totally is starting to make me feel old.

I saw this out of the blue sitting on the New Releases shelf at Future Shop the same day Beverly Hills 90210 Season 1 came out (I am not admitting to anything) and had to pick it up.
So far I've watched every part of disk 1 and really enjoyed it. I think I have the original DVD release somewhere, but for the price, I couldn't turn this down, and with the commentaries alone it was worth the price.
I would have liked to have had more of the voice actors as the director's commentary tends to be interrupting interesting stories to say "We used a lot of colors in the background. It has a lot of colors..." but I understand that with some that is unfortunately not possible.

A local bar here in Vancouver had a DVD release party of sorts last weekend to celebrate the movie's 20th anniverary and DVD rerelease....I attended it, and it was a LOT of fun. The general consensus of the crowd was that it's a must buy. I'll probably pick it up on Friday.
