NBC finally does what everyone's been calling for. Starting November 16, they're resurrecting Must-See-TV Thursday nights. On that night, Tina Fey's struggling "30 Rock" will move to Thursdays following "My Name Is Earl" and "The Office" with three super-sized 40 minute episodes. It will then move to 9:30 two weeks later when NBC returns "Scrubs" to the schedule about two months earlier than planned. For those of us who got tired of "CSI" about three weeks in and can't even begin to tolerate "Grey's Anatomy", this is fantastic news. (For TNA, who was probably about to get a new regular Impact viewer once the timeslot change begin, this news kinda sucks.)

Given that I'll now be watching 3 of the 4 shows on, its a pretty safe bet I'll just keep on watching right through 30 Rock. If anything I suppose this means I should start watching the show now...
Can anything be inferred from this regarding the fate of 20 Good Years? I'm surprised that they are leaving the Office and Earl in the 8-9 slot since I thought the new NBC mandate was 'no scripted tv' during those hours.

From the moment it was announced, The Office and Earl were named the exceptions to the 8-9pm reality show rule.
But this news is awesome! This is what we've been asking and hoping for since two years ago.
30 Rock is really enjoyable and will take some time to find itself, just as Scrubs and The Office did originally. This is definitely vindication for Scrubs after getting bumped around on Tuesdays for a while... too bad Zach Braff is ready to move into his movie career full-time after this season!

Earl, Office & Scrubs get the same strong 18-49 rating that NBC craves to get for 30 Rock. This can only do good things for all four shows.
Is it too early to call The Office the NBC flagship?
Wed., Nov 15: Medium [9-11 premiere!!] Thur., Nov 16: My Name is Earl [8-8:40], The Office [8:40-9:20], 30 Rock [9:20-10] Wed., Nov 22: Biggest Loser [9-10], Medium [10-11] (and ongoing...) Thur., Nov 23: Thanksgiving; Nothing major scheduled. Thur., Nov 30: Earl [8-8:30], Office [8:30-9], Scrubs [9-9:30], 30 Rock [9:30-10]

This is my dream come true! Scrubs and The Office are my two favorite sitcoms, and Earl is qualtiy watching and I am loving 30 Rock. This is two hours of my life that I will happily spend in front of the TV. and yes, this means I lose CSI, but with Grissom going on a hiatus in on the show, I feel now is a good time to leave it.
I can only hope they keep this lineup in tact for a long time.
