Smackdown was very strong today, in setting up the pay per view on Sunday.

-Kudos to JBL and Michael Cole in the history lesson between Hardy and Helms.

-Finley/Booker was a solid match, and I was thoroughly entertained; I'd love to see these two do a program together. Lashley/Batista was a decent big man match...but the end to the tag match was just confusing.

-Kennedy's promo was very good. Kennedy is the best thing going on Smackdown right now.

-Decent womens match between McCool and Massaro. Not sure I like K.C. James and Idol Stevens, though...but I'm digging the Ashley/Kendrick/London grouping.

-Tatanka's squashed again. Why?

-Sylvan beat Jimmy Wang Yang. Again. Again...why?

-MVP makes his Smackdown debut, and says he'll be at No Mercy, but doesn't say who he'll wrestle. Anyone know if he's good in the ring?

One thing bugged me: was at the start of the show, JBL, Michael Cole and Lashley all referred to the main event of No Mercy as being a one-on-one match between Booker and Lashley. However...wasn't the switch to the fatal fourway done on Wednesday? THat kind of gives the notion that nobody in the WWE checks out their website, right?

But it's the WWE, where continuity is nonexistant.

Altogether, though, I thought this was a decent show, and it makes me excited for the PPV, which I'm very seriously considering buying.

It's not like Sylvan's getting over at all. All that they're doing is just killing the character right out of the gate and not even giving Yang a chance. It's such backwards thinking.

I know SmackDown's going through hard times, but you know it's getting bad when Fit Finlay's main eventing.

Kennedy's promo absolutely makes this show. This guy's gonna be a huge star. I can feel it.
