Not if the hope is to get another diva (Mickie?) over as the Superwoman hero babyface who takes it from the dastardly heel who sent our beloved babyface into retirment. If it's true that Lita is on her way out, then you want her to be as strong a heel as possible before jobbing out the belt. And besides, if Trish wins that just means we vacant the belt, and that's messy.

I wish the camera would have stayed static long enough so that we could read what was flashing on Trish's belt buckle. That would have been something pretty cool, if she did it earlier in her career. I mean, John Cena came out to the same tights, but with different colours at the start of his time in the WWE. My friends and I used to bet on what colour he'd use next. Yes, it's pretty dumb, but it's wrestling.

McMahon/HHH was painful to watch. I really wish Vince would STOP wrestling, STOP doing promos, and STOP showing up on TV.

I'm liking the Masterpiece/Super Crazy feud...though, the crowd didn't seem to be too much into it this week.

I'm going to waetch Unforgiven this week (if anything, at the theatres) if for anything, for the Bizarro world reactions to Edge and Shawn Michaels.

Oh, and one thing: I noticed that the WWE is advertising for the Gridiron Gang movie...starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. How long until he drops the "THE ROCK" name?

I'd bet on not as long as he can help it. Without that name, he's nothing. Who's going to see an action film where the lead actor's name is just plain old Dwayne Johnson?

Pretty sure it said "STRATUSFACTION".

100% STRATUSFACTION

JR or King even read it for us at one point.

I'd considered the Toronto crowd's reaction to Edge/Cena, but it completely escaped me that HBK's match is going to be really weird.

Maybe it's just me, but I say let Trish win at the PPV, and screw giving the rub to anyone else. There are only three other ring-capable women in the division, and that's going down to two when Lita leaves. I say, have her forfeit the title and let the company retire it until they get serious about the women's division. Trish is, unquestionably, the greatest woman in the history of North American wrestling. Let her go out beating everybody.

I thought Jeff Hardy may have actually killed himself botching that dive.

What's with this "time honored tradition of losing on the way out" business. I could see if Trish was the champ, but she's not. No LOGICAL reason for her to win, other than to give her a great sendoff.

Or, she wins, takes the belt, and we never see women wrestling for a long, long time.

I actually think Trish retiring with the belt and thus retiring the belt itself is actually a possibility. Let's face it, without Trish and Lita, there is nobody currently ready to carry the division. That's not to say that there aren't people talented enough to do so, but some effort would have to be put in to build the division up. I could see WWE deciding that it's not worth the effort (heck, until recently they haven't put much effort into the women's division even with Trish and Lita), and shift the focus (even moreso) of the "Divas" to more of a special attraction, mostly bikini contests and the like, maybe with the occasional bra and panty "match" mixed in. If that's the case, you hardly need a championship title for that.

I'd say it's down to two with Lita there. I wish Trish's last match would be with someone who can still go.

I'm going to miss her. And try to get one of my friends to make me a belt likr that.

I can't remember any wrestler ever retiring with the belt, man or woman. Outside of Hogan or Flair, I don't see it happening. She has had plenty of big wins vs LIta, she needs to do the job and maybe give the rub to Mickie as the next face challenger.

I don't mind her going out on a high note in her hometown, I'd actually prefer it. The "Thank You Trish" ovations will be terrific.

But your statement above is nonsense. As good as Trish is, she would have to go several more years before she got close to Moolah, who is arguably one of the best ALL TIME heels.

Then again, some would argue that Chyna deserves some mention as the only woman to hold a men's title (thank you Double J).

Given that the rest of the card is stacked, I wonder how much time that Trish/Lita will get?

didn't Moolah hold the women's belt for like 20 years? Trish is very good, and improved a lot over the years, but when she (and most current divas) have a good match, I still only judge it as a good "women's match" not just a good match in general. So many of their moves seem set up and staged. The matches are not very fluid. Molly was the last one they had that came close to seeming like a real female wrestler, not just some hot chick they taught a few moves to.

Verne Gagne won the AWA World Title in his retirement match against Nick Bockwinkle. The belt then reverted to Bockwinkle.
I believe Fritz Von Erich won the World Class Americas Title in his retirement match against King Kong Bundy, and also won the World Class 6 Man Title when he came out of retirement versus the Freebirds for a 1 match return on the Parade of Champions Card.

Well, it depends on your criteria for 'greatest woman.' Moolah wasn't anything special in the ring, whereas Trish is really good. Moolah has a more famous name, but she was never a major drawing card or anything, she just controlled women's wrestling and was around forever. Basically, Trish may not have been as big a star at her peak as Sable, have as much longevity as Moolah, or be as good a worker as Molly Holly, but as far as overall packages of all of the above, no one is going to match Trish.
