...then realizing he doesn't have Reggie Miller or Ron Artest to help, he would have to carry more of the load on the current squad. Considering the potential of the other teams in the Central Division next year, I'm not sure how good the Pacers will be.

I dunno, the Pacers lost Scot Pollard, Anthony Johnson, Freddy Jones, Peja Stojakovic, and Austin Croshere, and have acquired 11 different players since the end of last season. While I think we're better on paper, I don't think there's any way to accurately predict how the Pacers are going to do next year.
But I approach the coming season with cautious optimism.
