The new McMahon DVD will feature commentary from Stephanie McMahon where she claims to have nixed two Vince suggestions: one that he be revealed as the father of her baby, and one that Shane be revealed as the father. She reveals that she also said no to having her wedding to Hunter put on PPV, according to PWInsider.

Holy crap. If this is true, then Vince needs help. If it's not, it's sad and kinda sick that they'd lie about it on a DVD to create controversy surrounding his persona.

Jesus man. I always though Vinnie Mac had issues with women. But this is just over the top. The fact that this even popped into his head makes me wonder.

Now if they woulda said Randy Savage, well thats a whole other ball game.

Even thinking of it is one thing, but actually allowing it to be put on DVD is another. It's not just a bad idea, it's....f***ing disgusting. At least it seems someone from that clan has some damn sense, on all 3 accounts.

Not suprising, honestly. They've done incenst angles before with other talent, not shocked that McMAhon would want to do it to get heel heat on himself. It's pretty sick, but again...about in line with everything we know about Vince. It seems that the company line on stuff like this is 'actors playing roles,' so they seem to be able to square it morally to themselves at least. It would horrify and disturb the public, of course, but I'm sure that was the goal.

Stuff like this does make me wish there were minutes from some Russo/McMahon booking ideas. Just imagine all the weird shit they must have brainstormed.

Yeah, at least Vince is consistent(ly deranged) in that Mark Henry (in his sex addict days) wasn't the only one offered an incest angle.

What also bothers me about this is that someday Stephie's daughter is going to be in school, and now that it's on record on the DVD - someone's going to bring it up to this kid. Grampa tried to set this poor baby up to ridicule even before she was born. How are they going to explain this to her?
Steph's been on record before saying how she used to get into fights with kids who said wrestling was fake. You'd think she'd remember how it felt to have kids make fun of your family.

While I'm glad I don't have to watch their horrible acting involved with such a story, I'm not bothered by the proposal of it. This is wrestling. It's inherently outrageous.

That kid's a McMahon. She'll know the difference between reality and fiction from a young age.

Meh, it's a bizarre story, but it's only fiction. I don't think it's any more horrible than a sitcom incorporating a similar storyline into their show (not that I can recall any specific instances of that happening, but still). I think people would have watched it just to see what the hell they were doing and were they were going with it.

Yuck. Art imitates life...although I don't think anyone outside of WWE would consider what they do "art."

Vince blatantly staring at Steph's rack during the HHH-Steph "wedding renewal" episode of Raw just got a lot creepier.

I'm sure Vince has vetoed many of
Steph's suggestions.

I have to respectfully disagree ... with the difference being that it's really his actual daughter.

Had this storyline come to frution, it would have made the whole Katie Vick thing look like the (original) nWo invasion.

What a fucked-up group of people. I'm sorry, I know this is make-believe and all, but if you don't understand the pure depravity of this, wait until you have children of your own. I can't even imagine PITCHING this idea to a girl I've raised and protected from birth. It just makes you cringe.

Observation: When crash TV was the rave, wrestling tried to entertain us with outrageous conduct ("Here comes the Ho Train!"). Now, they try to entertain us with outrageous moments ("My GOD! DX just dropped POOP on Shane and Vince!").

I sorta liked it better when they entertained us with well-developed feuds involving interesting characters...

I dunno. Maybe kids in their teens are into this...

I'm not so sure about that. Seems her granddad still gets confused from time to time on that one.

You don't think he really ran for president do you?

The man's apparently got an ego the size of ... well, we might not have observed anything sufficiently big to compare it to. And he may think willpower can make a success out of anything. But I see him as a vadueville showman, a guy who believes there is no bad publicity, and a man who repeatedly makes his character look bad to end a feud. Mr. McMahon always loses and loses embarassingly.

If Vince was as disconnected as some would suggest (not saying you're one of them), his character wouldn't have taken 5,000 Stunners.

My statement wasn't that he gets confused about his real-life character when in a pretend setting. More that he has a habit of letting a lot more of his pretend character seep into real life than need be...just ask Bob Costas. As an onscreen character no one has shown more ass, literally and figuratively, than McMahon over the years.

I wonder if he would have behaved the same way to any other reporter asking those questions. I'm of the mind he just despises Costas the way high-school athletes hate the nerds.

Can't recall?! I don't know how you could possibly forget the classic episode of "Mr. Belvedere" in which a harried Belvedere has to drive Heather to the abortion clinic when he finds out she's been knocked up by either George, Kevin, or -- to his extreme comic horror -- Wesley. Hilarious!

From a storyline perspective, Don't they do these kind of storylines all the time on daytime soap operas?

Isn't this the same family that had Mae Young give birth to a hand?

This is *totally* different to a sitcom or a soap opera doing such a story. This a real father, a real daughter, a real baby, pantomiming incest in an entertainment form that is still VERY protective of its "kayfabe".

One thing I think we fans forget is that as everyone who's ever been in any creative field (comedy, music, acting, writing etc.) know that a lot of wacky ideas get thrown out there, some serious, a lot in jest. especially when coming up with a skit, show or idea. I've written comedy skits and done stand-up and brainstormed a lot of stuff that wouldn't fly or would horrify people or is just dumb. All that is usually a path to get to a finish project. Over the years, we hear about so many rumored characters and storylines that never happen, I always get the vibe that a lot of these ideas are just thrown out there just to get the creative process going and weren't ever even close to being put on TV (I'd say this angle is prolly one of them.) Then, of course, people run immediately to Meltzer and Keller and the next thing we hear is that Jordan is gonna play a bisexual or MNM are gonna be scientologists or any number of stuff that probably was just bantered amount in the brainstorming session.
