The idea makes sense, it has the traditional Rocky structure, and Stallone is still probably pissed off at how badly Rocky V turned out so he might be inspired enough to make a halfway decent film this time.

| #3 Posted on 11.7.06 1552.14 Reposted on: 11.7.13 1552.20 | I have been in love with the Rocky movies since II came out and I was a little kid. I have had my own copies of the first three films in one format or another since LaserDisc, and I can probably still go through all of Rocky III on mute and give the dialogue myself.
Needless to say, as ridiculous as a sixth Rocky film might be, this trailer has gotten me feeling like I can run up a whole lot of stairs. December 22 can't come soon enough. | uberlou

I noticed the lack of Adrian in the trailer and from the credits on IMDB (outside of archive footage being used). I won't spoil it here, but Wikipedia has a detailed plot outline of the movie with spoilers. | StaggerLee

Am I the only one here who actually enjoyed that last Rocky movie?

That movie was a joke to moviegoers really. I can't buy this premise of a conflict being started by a computer video game at all.

Yes. Unless you've mentally blocked out Rocky V and you're actually referring to Rocky IV, in which case I also enjoyed the last Rocky movie.

| #14 Posted on 16.7.06 1310.09 Reposted on: 16.7.13 1311.14 | I enjoyed V much more than IV or III for that matter. It brought the series back to the original grittiness of the first two, while III and IV seemed to revel in the excesses of the 80s and the cold war.
The "losing all my money and getting brain damage" happening at once seemed a little far-fetched, but I wasn't expecting another Academy Award for Rocky V. I also did enjoy the street fight that concluded the movie, including the cameo by Burgess Meredith.
It was a good note on which to end the series-the character ended up in the same place he started from. Nevertheless, here we are again for the sixth installment. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
