The word around here is that the continuance was granted partly because the Municpal Court was overwhelmed with demand for people to view the proceedings and media seating requests.

Why is it that I can now picture Hat Guy and Sign Guy sitting in the front of the gallery?

I have little to add to the ongoing debate since i don't think anyone knows enough about it to start either condemning or apologising for RVD and Sabu (do any reports explicitly state he was high whilst driving, as opposed to just being in possession?), but the reason you've never heard of anyone OD'ing on weed is because it's practically impossible: you'd probably suffocate on the smoke and die from lack of oxygen before getting to the required level to overdose on THC.

The only way I've heard you can OD on marijuana is if you use the leaves to brew a 'tea' and intake the THC that way. You won't suffocate via smoking; you'll pass out.

From RVDs homepage (www.robvandam.com):

From RVD...

July 6 - Well, its going to be difficult to think of reasons not to clean out the garage now. Looks like I have a little more time on my hands.

Hmm...you think this websites getting a lot of hits?

Fans and friends in Battle Creek, sorry once again. Ive never wrestled in front of my hometown my whole career, and it looks like that will remain the case for now. Back in what I believe was 2000, ECW ran the Kellogg Arena while I was filming Black Mask 2 in Thailand. I was on the outs with E C Dub because of non-payment issues and flying from Bangkok to BC to get off the plane and wrestle for free wasnt a good option for me. This show coming up in July seemed like it would finally be my day but alas, I share the disappointment with you. One things for sure, itll be a lot easier to come back if all you Biggest-Breakfast-Table-in-the-World-Having Michiganders sell that Kellogg Arena out! Otherwise you might have to wait until I book that show after I retire, and who knows when that could be?

Hey, it looks like Ill have time to go see that Superman movie!

Super.

. . . Or Art Garfunkel.

Of course, they both need rehab.

Despite the fact that the officer at the scene let them drive away? Despite the fact that marijuana is specifically not even tested for under the wellness policy? (As an aside, did anyone else immediately think that they threw that in specifically for RVD?)

The officer didn't "let them drive away." They

Furthermore, what do either of these items have to do with anything? Is pot not illegal? Does the wellness policy not ban it (scroll down and read vsp's post if you're not sure)? Did these two not get arrested? I don't know how you can try and paint RVD and Sabu as victims here.

Seeing as how they have a court appearance, either that is not the law or they had more than "x-amount."

My favorite post about RVD is from Joey Styles over at ecw.com:

Most Extreme Player for 7/6/06
By Joey Styles
July 6, 2006

Obviously, this weeks Most Extreme Player is not my bud Rob Van Dam. On two consecutive nights, RVD saw both his WWE and ECW Championship reigns go up in smoke. Considering that both losses took place in the same arena, Philadelphias Wachovia Center, you can bet the Rob Van Dam was happy to be rid of that jointat least for now.
