UNLIMITED: Lillian sings the the national anthem...troops shown saluting...troops chant Lillian as she starts the traditional USA chant. Out comes "Good Ole JR" Jim Ross. Next Jerry "The King" Lawler.

It's time to WAKE UP! It's Monday Night RAW Live from Fayetteville, NC!

OPENING: Well, DX vs McMahon's! That's not all...RVD vs Cena the rematch from ECW: ONS. We kick off the show with the healed Trish Stratus vs Mickie James for the WWE Women's Title...please don't get hurt tonight Trish...her right shoulder almost snapped like a freaking twig. Here we go...hammer lock to head lock...into the corner and a Lou Thez press my Trish. Spin buster by Trish...already in control until Mickie nail her in the face from the mat. A high kick takes down Trish then off the ropes for a quick drop kick. A few transition moves later and into the Jumping Spike DDT. 1...2...3...Mickie wins and a few seconds later it's Johnny Nitro out with Melina. Trish is still in the ring...hey it's rant saying Trish is old and if she doesn't leave the ring her ass is going to be handed to her. Well, Trish isn't backing down from Melina and knocks her down. Nitro starts pulling off Trish from Melina as CARLITO hits the ring and clean house on Johnny Nitro. I like the pairing of Trish and Carlito as we're off to the first ***AD BREAK***

UNLIMITED: Trivia...crap I missed them but I got the second one right...Hardy Boyz. Last one the guy didn't know.

We're Back: Trish catches up with Carlito...he's upset about last night half realizing Trish is a hot woman talking to him. Goes of on a spanish rant...then she mentions his shirt. His reaction..."Now that's cool." Review of the DX craziness going on. Hey the Spirit Squad and Shane giving a talking to...Shane says there going to do it themselves. The McMahon's ***AD BREAK***

UNLIMITED: Torrie Magazine shoot for the return of the WWE Magazine covering both RAW and Smackdown.

We're Back: Fans talk about the title match tonight...Cena fans you actually found some. UMAGA!!! The Samoan Bulldozer...here we go...it's Kamala with Kim Che! Here we go...the most exciting gimmick match ever besides the Wrestlemania Gimmick Battle Royal. Well Umaga knocks out Kamala...then kills Kim Che with the butt driver in the corner. The Samoan spike to Kamala for the 1...2...3! More domination by Umaga...hey it's the quarter million dollar Diva search...ok Ashely was alright last year but what vanilla no talent woman are we going to get this year? ***AD BREAK***

UNLIMITED: Matt Striker is MY TEACHER!!! Welcome to the classroom. Yesterday at Vengeance Cena vs Sabu he got to watch as WWE Lumberjack. He says using tables as an object of punishment but instead read a book, do your homework, and drink coffee from. He is Matt Striker and he is your teacher. Out comes Torrie Wilson...

We're Back: WWE Rewind...Van Dam defending his title via still pictures. Grisham is out to interview Torrie about being on the cover of the returning WWE Magazine...here is the cover. Why do I feel there something more that is going to happen. YEP. EDGE with Lita out to pick on the little cute blond girl. Skid mark to Grisham and toots to Torrie before Lita kicks here "ass". "Edge is the MVP of RAW." Considering his character is pretty red hot but MVP...ok. Ok, he decides to leave the show and leaves through the crowd. He stops by the merchandise stand and grabs as many of his shirt as he can as the guy looks like a freaking deer in headlights as he does it. Walk out of the arena for a nice night walk with Lita who's starting to look fat. Lay off the Taco Bell Amy...***AD BREAK***

UNLIMITED: AMW Cade and Murdoch are out and getting in the ring.

We're Back: WWE Slam of the Week...go buy Subway. Stills of Cena vs Sabu and the crazy cool match they had. Maria gets to talk to Cena. Cena says Maria looks good...umm...she looks ok. Wow...that was good. Cena pointing out what Edge did in a really funny way. Cena focused on getting the WWE title tonight. Holy cow it's Val on RAW! Wait it's Val and Vis. Heat match on RAW? Hmm...I hope the match actually has an outcome. Well good team maneuvers by Cade and Murdoch...wait it's Charlie Haas. Haas has come to talk to Lillian...great...why do I get the stalker vibe from this? Vis tagged in. Taking down Cade and Murdoch. Some move by Cade and Murdoch cause Vis to go down for the three count. Wonder what Mrs Haas thinks at home with the bun in the oven about Haas having to smooch on Lillian, any ways. Ross said the "The High Low" I think thats almost official. We go to a music video by Brooke Hogan...umm wow now that I'm totally bored because the last segment sucked and Brooke isn't a turn on dancing and singing I'm going to go to the restroom. Ok, I'm back...so Orton was watching Brooke Hogan dance and likes it. Go crap in her gym bag. Shane can beat up a lamp...home run! ***AD BREAK***

UNLIMITED: Smackdown Rebound...Booker and Lashley.

We're Back: DX vs McMahons...wait it's Triple H! He's Vince McMahon...wait did he just say XFL! Dear gawd great parody...and now to our reminder of the disconnect.

(image removed)

Did he cover the bases of "DICKS"? Umm...ok, I can't follow this styck. OK, THEY'VE BEEN READING THE W!

http://the-w.com/thread.php/id=30101

Well, Vince comes out says he's tired of DX and he's going to stop them. He ask why the portipotty on the stage and well...we find out very quickly as Vince and the Spirit Squad are full of, no other way to put it, SHIT! Crowd chant: Holy Shit! HHH: Agrees just because of Shawn. ***AD BREAK***

UNLIMITED: They make there way to the back from the dump of shit on them, McMahon's and Squad.

We're Back: Review of last nights match between Foley and Flair. Flair basically says he's Foley is a glorified stuntman. Paul says he's concerned to RVD. RVD says he's fine. Short segment. ***AD BREAK***

UNLIMITED: Signs of the NIGHT! I didn't know what to write...nice sign.

We're Back: WWE.com website...fans talk about the match tonight. Kane 2006 is out to face Randy Orton...why do I once again feel the match is going nowhere too like the tag team match earlier. Orton out...Kane 2006 isn't happy. They lock up and shoot to the turnbuckle. Orton attempts to take out his knee and screws it up. Poke to the eye and quick pin for two count. Kane 2006 tosses Orton to the corner then a follow up crossing the ring clothesline. Sidewalk slam...Kane 2006 up to the top with the clothesline. Kane 1997 music starts...out he comes. Kane 1997 distracts Kane 2006 enough for Orton to hit RKO. Now what...two giant choke slams to Hell! Crowd Chant: Take of the Mask. Holy crap choke slam to hell on the steel stage. Gee he freaking bounced. Kane 2006 leaves then comes back and starts dragging him...where the hell is he going with him? ***AD BREAK***

UNLIMITED: Maria is out for the Kiss Cam! Cheap pop Maria...oh well so she stole the Foley styck. HLA!! The first two and they finally decided to do it. Lillian kissing everybody near her...nice. Good grief they had a lot of ladies kissing...man.

We're Back: Kane 2006 is still dragging Kane 1997 and he demasks him as Kane 2006 stares at the mask after he throws him through the back doors of the building. Shown the diva search results before going to the ***AD BREAK***

UNLIMITED: Torrie Wilson shoot again.

We're Back: RVD and Cena both out and they both get mixed reactions. Interesting...some of the crowd chanting for Cena. This is the rematch from ONS. Sit down hip lock for a two count. RVD to the top and pushed off. ***AD BREAK*** Runs in.

UNLIMITED: Cena gets a two RVD for a two count...shoots RVD across the ring to the turnbuckle then delivers a fisherman suplex followed buy a cover for a two count. Crowd chanting for Cena. Another cover and Cena has RVD in a chin lock and sciccors as the segment ends.

We're Back: Still in the chin lock on the ground. Cena in control of the match. Why once again do I have feeling we'll be seeing Edge by the end of this even though he "walked out". Cena blocks the turnbuckle. Kick drops Cena from the second turnbuckle to the outside floor. RVD hits a front flip plancha onto Cena. Two count by RVD. Leg drop for a two count. Rob grabs a chair...clotheslines, shoulder block, slam. Five knuckle shuffle...calling for the FU and RVD escapes. Windmill kick by RVD. Punches back and forth to a spin kick that takes Cena down. German suplex with a bridge. Split leg moonsault for a two. Cena slams RVD off the ropes. Elbow to the face then the top rope kick. Cena moves from the five star frog splash. Counters the rolling thunder...FU and STFU...and it seems like forever before Edge shows up to stop Cena from winning. Edge says he'll see RVD tomorrow on ECW. We see the copyright and the fade to black with logo.

Umm...Raw is human waist? It wasn't bad but I think could've been a bit better.

I'll give HHH some credit. He had the Vince ear-pull down pat.

And any reason to show the "Stand Back" video is alright by me. ;)

Waist-- a portion of the human anatomy below the stomach and above the crotch.

Waste-- in this usage, a byproduct of the human excretory system.

Anyhoo... RAW was OK, I guess, but overall I was underwhelmed. They spent the entire night talking about the DX vs. McMahons main event, and didn't deliver. The parody was funny, but instead of a match, they were sure to show the crap throwing in slow-motion replay, and go into excruciating detail about corn and carrots and stuff. BLEH~!

No Shelton Benjamin all night tonight, even though he was the one who actually lost the Intercontinental Title last night? Carlito's reaction to Trish's kiss on the cheek was very cute, though.

Wonder if Kane's gonna put his mask back on.

The Viscera/Charlie Haas thing continues to insult our intelligence, and go back on established character-building and continuity.

Umaga/Kamala was utterly forgettable, but I expected as much. Armando Alejandro Estrrrrrrrrrrrada, on the other hand, is OVER~!

The main event was pretty good, and it was surprising seeing Edge run in at the end. So much for the "screw this crap" thing followed immediately by "I'm going to SmackDown." Not that SmackDown couldn't actually use a main event heel with gravitas.

Not much worth commenting on...but HBK's parody of Shane's Shuffle is the funniest thing I can remember seeing on my TV in a long long time. Easily the highlight of the night.

Yep. And that whole, "I'll see you tomorrow night" line nearly made my head explode.

It's enough to make me wanna sit right down and write Paul E a letter. That'd read something like this:

"Dear Mr. Heyman,
I understand that when you were just eight days old, a man came and took away a leetle part of your dick. That's one of the many established traditions of your faith. And I accept that.

However, I think he must've slipped and got part of your balls in the process. Seeing as how you seem to be perfectly content to sit back and turn ECW into the "Edge show".

If this is not the case, then might I suggest that you grow a set, go in for a meeting with Creative, grab the "Rated R binky" and THROW IT THE F*** OUT THE WINDOW?? Ditto for the spinning, blingy pacifier and the Chain Gang rattle.

ECW's big enough to stand on its own. If only you'll let it.

Extremely pissed off, but sincerely yours,
Diva"

Not that it is extremely important, but I'm pretty sure that Trish didn't kiss Carilito on the cheek, but rather was wispering in his ear in reference to his "Spit or Swallow?" t-shirt. Not nearly as cute I know, but it is what it is.

Edit: Diva, you may want to address your letter to Mr. McMahon, since he's the one who runs ECW now.

Oh, I think that letter would need to be cc'd or pc'd, depending on your stylistic preferences, to a number of folk in Stamford. ;)

Charlie Haas rules with the 2 smooth facials. And he can't help but knock the crap out of Lillian IN A SHOOT again. This is the best angle ever.

BROOKE HOGAN DANCEFIGHT. WHAT WHAT?

Lawler calling them "Extremely Crappy Extremists"~~~~~~
That was a good match. John Cena ... is good.

I wish DX's Spooftacular Parody would've just been Triple H doing the Vince entrance over and over again. That was amazing. The rest, very long and not very over.

Really mixed show, leaning slightly towards the negative. Some thoughts:

- Trish is back?! Who knew! They might be trying to revive the Trish/Melina feud, which is alright by me, because it's not "Trish vs. Mickie XXIV." And Johnny Nitro as IC champ = AWESOME.
- I'm glad they did Umaga/Kamala tonight, because after their face-to-face at the Pay-Per-View I was worried that they were going to actually build to it. I'm glad Kim Chee came to the ring for the match, because otherwise if he was able to beat Umaga, he'd have nobody to tell him that Umaga needs to be on his back to be pinned. All that is irrelevant, however, to the feeling I get with each and every Umaga segment - the wrestler is not over; his manager is. Time to branch out Armando Alejandro Estrada, methinks.
- I loved that the cameras followed Edge all the way out of the arena for his temper tantrum. Taking all of his t-shirts from the merch table with him was a nice touch that had me laughing. It was an obvious set-up for a run-in later, but an entertaining one.
- The Haas/Viscera feud would be so much more entertaining if they were feuding over Tony Chimmel.
- Brooke Hogan is about five years too late with the whole "blonde singer with zero personality" pop act.
- Maybe it's just me, but the crowd seemed to sort of die down a little during the "dX impersonates the McMahons" segment until the crap dropped from the ceiling. Not that the crowd was completely dead for the segment or anything, but they didn't seem as into it as I thought they'd be. The only part I personally found amusing was when they cut to HHH as Vince dancing to the video.
- Flair's argument that Foley took the easy way by falling off a cage and doing all the crazy shit he's done rather than learning the fundamentals fell a little flat with me. Maybe it's because if somebody offered me the choice of being thrown off the top and through the top of a cage by the Undertaker or learning the fundamentals, I'd probably choose to learn the fundamentals. Maybe that's just me.
- During Kane's beatdown of Brian Lee Imposter Kane, I kept thinking that he was going to unmask him, it was going to be Snitsky, and Real Imposter (aroo?) Kane would attack him from behind. I have a feeling they still might go that route next week, but I'm being optimistic and hoping that they're just going to start burying this angle and forgetting it as soon as possible.
- RVD/Cena was better than I thought it'd be. Cena seemed really off whenever he had to slam Van Dam and Edge's run-in was a little too predictable, but all-in-all it was a good TV main.

Wow...looking back on it, it really didn't have that many highlights. Ah well.

One of the announcers mentioned before the start of the Umaga/Kamala match that they can't remember Kamala being afraid of anyone or anything. My thoughts immediately went to caskets and his feud with Taker. I just realized that was 14 years ago, didn't seem quite that long. I must be getting old :P

I liked the Mickie/Trish match. I guess the ending with Nitro and Melina will set up some mixed tag matches. Is this the end of the Trish/Mickie feud then?....They didn't ask Umaga or Kamala to do too much, which was smart. The bodyslam was impressive....I wonder if Edge is headed to Smackdown. That'll deepen their roster....The tag match wasn't good, and had little heat....

The DX as McMahons segment was okay, but went on too long. I'm glad Trips worked in a "quite frankly." Too bad he couldn't fit a "notwithstanding" in there....I'm glad Flair got some promo time and they didn't immediately forget their match last night....

Orton/Kane looked like it went about half speed. Should be interesting to see how fake Kane retaliates from his first ass beating by Kane....Announcing the ME contestants when they were already in the ring gave it a big match feel. The match was real solid.

Ummm...not really. In fact, the only time the crowd actually cheered during that whole segment was when HOGAN was shown playing bass.

The DX thing seems more and more forced every week and each of their segments runs too long.

And to quote the "Stand Back" video, "That's a fact."

Ok, they are not waiting til Summerslam, but other than that I knew they would go that way! Damn - I TOTALLY forgot about SNME! Seems like the last one didnīt leave an lasting impression?

So NOW I think Edge will win the title! At SNME!

Cause itīs too early for Cena to regain it and RVD has to give that WWE title back sooner or later!

However: Iīm really glad RVD wasnīt just screwed out of the WWE title at ONS2 or lost it 1 day or 1 PPV later!
Now he at least has had some sort of nice little run with it!

AND can stay ECW champ on top of that!:)

I was really digging the opening match, especially when Mickie James kept attacking Trish's elbow. Then Trish suddenly busted out a nice frankensteiner and simply sat on Mickie to try to get the pin. Lawler just yelled "OH BOY!!" and it bothered me. If this was twenty years ago, Jesse Ventura and Gorilla Monsoon would have made a big point about Trish not hooking the legs in the pin attempt.

Perhaps they are really trying to sell the entertainment aspect instead of the sports/wrestling aspect. But not too long after that match they are asking fans on the street who they think will win between RVD and Cena, with the highlights being fans talking about how tough both wrestlers are.

It's just one comment that could have made the match seem a little more important, especially since it was for a championship title.

I totally agree. The women, mostly Mickie and Trish, have really been the highlight of Raw since late 2005.

Lawler doesn't call matches anymore, and to expect him to do it in a women's match is wishcasting at its finest. It sucks, because it gives the women, who have still been working hard despite losing Finlay, the short shrift. Fuck Jerry Lawler.

Melina coming out to declare herself the new top diva to Trish, when Mickie (the champ, who has been crushing souls for months now) was just in the ring, irritated me. I get that Mickie has to get shunted off elsewhere for a while to keep the inevitable Trish/Mickie rematch fresh, but the new feud shouldn't start clearly at Mickie's expense.

C'mon now J-Sharp, I thought the Vince Ear-Pull (with Incredulous Vince Look~!) was pretty sweet. Could have used a couple dozen more "quite frankly"s though.

Egads. That was truly truly awful. I'm actually dumbfounded at how to express how bad that was, and I have more Britney/Xtina/Jessica/Mandy/Ashlee on the iPod than I'd generally care to admit. How can Brooke have a "Deer in Headlights" in a music video???

If this was twenty years ago, Jesse Ventura and Gorilla Monsoon would have made a big point about Trish not hooking the legs in the pin attempt.

Perhaps they are really trying to sell the entertainment aspect instead of the sports/wrestling aspect. But not too long after that match they are asking fans on the street who they think will win between RVD and Cena, with the highlights being fans talking about how tough both wrestlers are.

It's just one comment that could have made the match seem a little more important, especially since it was for a championship title.

Welcome to 2006. Twenty years ago, the women wouldn't be wrestling in Bra and Panty matches, posing in Playboy or wispering in Carlito's ear that they swallow. If you are just now being bothered by it, than you must not have been watching for the past eight years. If you have been watching, than how long will it take to realize it's just the way it is right now? I think everyone who hates the way women's wrestling is treated by WWE has had plenty of time to make that point by now. All the same goes for Lawler's announcing, as well.

Quick thoughts:

Crowd seemed mostly dead till the main event.

Mark me down as thinking the DX skit was hilarious. I was surprised that the crowd mostly sat in silence during it.

Jenny McCarthy and Rolling Stone magazine should sue the WWE over that Torrie Wilson magazine cover.

I was really dissappointed with the Umaga/Kamala match. Would have been nice if they had given Kamala a little more offense and had him do a little no-selling to give Umaga a little scare before Umaga finished him off.

I could see Edge coming back to interfere with the main event a mile away. When a wrestle says he's going to leave and then walks out, 99% of the time he's coming back to attack somebody.

After seeing the Brooke Hogan video played on Raw, bet on Hulk repaying that favor by laying down for the legend killer. I guess Hulk actually will do anything for his children.

That Brooke video reminded me of when Mtv did a special on the worst music videos of all time. One of the videos that made the list was Jessica Simpson's. It was a video of Jessica trying to be like Brittany and dancing with a bunch of back-up dancers. She couldn't really dance and came off looking really awkward and stiff......just like Brooke did in her video. Brooke just does not know how to express sexiness. She comes off as very wooden.
