Thought it would be nice to get this thread started sooner than the day before the PPV....

RVD v.s. Edge: Edge wins the WWE title, RVD keeps the ECW title.

DX v.s. Spirit Squad: DX wins this round.

John Cena v.s. Sabu: I just don't see WWE caring enough about Sabu to put him over here.

Carlito v.s. Shelton v.s Nitro: The new guy wins his first IC title.

Kurt Angle v.s. Randy Orton: Angle won at ONS, Orton wins here.

Mick Foley v.s. Ric Flair: Tough one. I guess Flair.

Kane v.s. Impostor Kane: Impostor Kane wins to keep the feud going.

Eugene v.s. Umaga: Umaga squashes Dinsmore.

My predition? Pain.

Edge over RVD
DX over Spirit Squad - If I buy this, this match will be my bathroom break.
Cena over Sabu - Should be bloody.
Nitro over Carlito and Benjamin
Angle over Orton - I would have said Orton but I think he got hurt bad enough last night that maybe this match does not happen. If that is the case, throw in Charlie Haas as a sub and have Orton interfere and Haas beat Angle. orton and Haas can then form a tag team, which owuld go a long way towards getting Haas over and covering up Randy's many shortfalls.
Flair over Foley. Flair wins the first fall, Foley the second and Flair unleashes hardcore hell on Foley and wins the thrid fall.
Fake Kane over Kane. Igh.
Umaga over Eugene

whatever

I'll take a stab:
Edge over RVD via Cena interference - program returns to Edge vs. Cena.

Sabu over Cena - they need to build Sabu/ECW up, and Cena can take the loss.

Spirit Squad over DX - the feud continues. ZZZzzzzz...

Carlito over Nitro, Benjamin. Transition into Carlito vs. Nitro?

Orton vs. Angle - *flips coin* ummm, Angle?

Flair over Foley - I like the thought of Mick pulling some stunt to cost the last fall. Look at the cage drop he did at Hell in the Cell - nobody necessarily remembers that he lost the match, they remember the stunt. I can see him pulling the same type of thing and gloating afterwards.

Kane over fake Kane, more story development.

Umaga eats Eugene.

Mickie defends against random healthy Diva, breaks Diva's leg.

Should be a paint-by-numbers PPV. Not really a bad thing; it shows that logically these matches have been built up in a way that there shouldn't be much guesswork involved in who will win.

RVD v. Edge:--- This has to have some sort of screwy finish to keep RVD and ECW strong. I mean, if he loses the WWE title clean to Edge, I don't really see how he can walk around as ECW champion. I'd like to see an ECW guy cost RVD the match. Have the match have tons of run-ins and a disputed finish. Maybe the debuting Test or even the Big Show can intefere. From there we can segue into our headline ECW feud. But yes, Edge wins the title. This match has all the makings of 'tune in tomorrow and find out who really is the champion.'

DX v. Spirit Squad:--- DX wins. Of note, a lot of criticism of Monday deals with the fact that Hunter and Shawn weren't serious enough and didn't come across as ass-kickers (especially in regards to Hunter.) I mean, do we really NEED to establish that HHH and Shawn can destroy people? The initial DX needed that edge because no one took anyone other than Shawn seriously. I think at this point, they can be jokey and irreverent and we'll just keep in the back of our heads that if they want they can eff someone up.

John Cena v. Sabu:--- Interesting match. I don't see Sabu tapping or anything. My hunch is this ends in some kind of schmozz. I'll go no contest.

Carlito v. Shelton v.s Nitro:--- The IC belt really needs to be moved to someone fresh. I like Shelton, but he's reign hasn't amounted to much. That said, I don't see Nitro winning this, so I'll go with Benjamin retaining. This whole thing is too directionless to move the title right now.

Kurt Angle v. Randy Orton:--- Depends on Orton's injury. He should win and if he's not seriously injured, he will win via heelish chicanery. Again, I'd like to see a run-in to establish Kurt's ECW feud.

Mick Foley v. Ric Flair:--- Smart money says this leads to the hardcore rematch, so expect this to end in a DQ win for Foley, after a frustrated Flair snaps from Foley 'tanking.'

Kane v. Impostor Kane:--- Impostor Kane wins strong, I could even see this being a squash, ala Taker v. Khali.

Eugene v. Umaga:--- Umaga wins in a quick squash.

Edit: I knew the rule, but I was to lazy to change the v. thing initially. But it does look prettier now.

Guys, if you want to abbreviate versus, it's "v." or "vs." and that's IT. I don't know who came up with "v.s" on this board, but it's a meaningless nonsense abbreviation and I know I haven't said anything for months and probably years but I'm saying NOW that I'd like you all to stop using it because it's incorrect and makes you look ignorant. ("v.s." is an abbreviation for vide supra which probably isn't what you're going for, either.)

RVD/Edge: Edge, although not cleanly.

DX/Squad: DX. It makes more sense for them to win in their first outing as a team.

Cena/Sabu: I'm actually looking forward to this one. Sabu's looked good this week, and I'm hoping Cena can repeat his performance from the JBL "I Quit" match. Cena wins.

Carlito/Shelton/Nitro: I can see any one of these guys walking away with the belt ... and it still not meaning much. None of them seems to have any momentum. Still, I'll go with Nitro.

Angle/Orton: Angle. Gotta give at least one win to a *cough* "ECW guy."

Foley/Flair: I'm gonna go with a Flair win for the hometown crowd.

Kane/enaK: Masked Kane.

Eugene/Umaga: Hahahaha. Maybe they can have a headbutt contest. Umaga.

Edge beats RVD according to the WWE ref, but its screwy.
DX beats the championship five-man tag team of the Spirit Squad.
Sabu beats Cena via chicanery.
Shelton retains.
Angle kills Orton
Foley beats Flair, setting up a rematch at Summerslam that should be brutal.
Kane beats Fake Kane, and reassumes the mask.
Eugene vs. Umaga. Old-And-Busted vs. New Hotness (at least as far as pushes go). Gonna go with Umaga.

*Umaga kills Eugene
*Shelton wins the triple threat match
*Fake Kane beats real Kane
*Cena beats Sabu
*DX beats the Spirits
*Orton cheats to get a cheap win over Angle
*Flair rolls up Foley to win the first fall, but is frustrated by Foley's constant stalling and attempts to make the match 'a stinker.' He finally nails Foley over the head with a chair (drawing a DQ loss) and then pins Mick for the win. This sets up the no-DQ rematch at Summerslam

Umaga vs. Eugene: Squash for Umaga.

DX vs. Spirit Squad: As much of a squash a 2 on 5 match can be. DX wins, sets up something with the McMahon's building to Summerslam.

Carlito vs. Nitro vs. Shelton: Nitro steals a pin on Carlito after Shelton destroys him. Nitro new I-C champ, Shelton does not job to lose belt.

Angle vs. Orton: Angle.

Flair vs. Foley: Foley wins the first fall. Flair wins the second fall. Foley is DQ'ed in fall 3 for piledriving Flair through a table. Flair via DQ, leading to a month of 'Will Flair Retire' storylines and another month of 'Flair comes back One More Time' for a SummerSlam HITC rematch.

Vintage Kane vs. Unmasked Kane: Vintage Kane with the upset, as we begin to learn that Vintage Kane was the real Kane of the late 90's, while Unmasked Kane was a DX imposter.

Cena vs. Sabu: Why make a Sabu match a lumberjack match? Doesnt' that eliminate half of Sabu's offense. Cena wins when an ECW lumberjack turns on Sabu pr Sandman's cane misses Cena and hits Sabu.

Edge vs. RVD: Double pin, with the RAW ref counting RVD's shoulders, while the ECW ref counts Edge's. The ghost of Jack Tunney rules that since the officially recognized ref counted RVD's shoulders, Edge wins the spinning belt. Heyman then protests, refuses to recognize the power of the ghost of Jack Tunney, and a schism occurs in the titles, as Edge is recognized as the spinning belt champion, and RVD the ECW Champ.

Umaga v. Eugene: Umaga wins, but somehow it's closer than all of us are expecting.
Kane v. Doppelganger Kane: Doppelganger Kane wins and then hopefully unmasks to groud this feud into reality.
Flair v. Foley: Foley wins the first fall, Flair the last two. Contrary to Mick's claims, this doesn't suck.
Angle v. Orton: Bitches tap to the anklelock.
Shelton v. Carlito v. Nitro: I foresee the result of this match being extremely cool.
Cena v. Sabu: Going against the grain and picking Sabu, though it'll be with chicanery to protect Cena.
DX v. Spirit Squad: Cheerleaders get killed. Cheerleaders get revenge the next night on RAW.
RVD v. Edge: Edge cheats to win the title. We begin building to his inevitable job (again) to Cena in August.

Ok - Im the only one here, but Im saying (or dreaming):

RVD beats Edge!!

And he stays the WWE and ECW champ until Summerslam to wrestle Edge and Cena in a triple threat ladder match!
(They could even have both titles hanging above the ring!?)

Why? Because EVERYBODY knows/thinks that Edge will win at Vengeance and Vince loves to "shock" the audience like he did at Mania when everybody knew/thought Triple H would beat Cena!

Rest of the card:

D-X beats Spirit Squad!
Angle beats Orton!
Cena beats Sabu!
Flair/Foley = No clean finish! Feud continues! (hopefully)
Nitro wins IC strap against Shelton and Carlito
Eugene destroys Umaga! JUST KIDDING!!
And finally: Kane wins!

RVD vs Edge: Edge wins.

DX vs Spirit Squad: I hope Spirit Squad wins. Are the titles up for grabs here?

John Cena vs Sabu: Cena. I can't believe this match is happening.

Carlito vs Shelton v.s Nitro: Carlito.. I hope it's Shelton though. I'm afraid they may actually put the title on Nitro though.

Kurt Angle vs Randy Orton: Angle. Orton cannot beat Angle the way angle has been wrestling lately.

Mick Foley vs Ric Flair: No Decision.

Kane vs Impostor Kane: Imposter Kane. This will lead to some kind of fire match. Fire may also play a role in this match.

Eugene vs Umaga: Umaga in a bad squash.

Kane vs. Kane - just a theory, but could this end up being an all time wrestlecrap moment? Given WWEs propensity for "special effects" that are less than special, this could be a real stinker. For what its worth, Kane chokeslams More Kane straight to hell from the entrance stage. Vince jumps up from the "flames" in a devil's costume with a pitchfork as we all contemplate the negative effects of being a billionaire...
