As a father of four, this one struck me as odd:

Outstanding Achievement in Children's Programming:
Dora the Explorer (Nickelodeon)
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (Cartoon Network)
High School Musical (The Disney Channel)
Nick News (Nickelodeon)
Sesame Street (PBS)

This is the oddest group of shows put togheter. They cover jsut about every age group. How can you possible compare a show that caters to the pre-K children (sesame Street) to a show that caters to pre-teens (Foster's Home and High School Musical)? I let my older kids watch Foster's but I would never let my younger kids watch it (they are still in Dora/Sesame mode). Weird.

As a father of one, I'd switch out High School Musical and replace it with Little Einsteins. I don't know what could be replacing Foster's Home, but does it have redeeming quality in TCA's eyes or was it a kiss to Cartoon Network for not nominating Naruto?

You are underestimating the popularity of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. It is the highlight of the cartoon network and has been heavily promoted in BK Happy Meal bundles. Coco is the breakout star.

As the father of a 3 year old, this is by far her favorite show. It is the only kids show on the list I can tolerate, much less enjoy. That and anything on the Disney channel looks harmless to me.
