Sorry, can't wait again. Got nothing better to do and I've gone from never watching AI to being a complete freak about this crap. What the hell happened to me?

Anyway:

Taylor - I'm so over you dude. It was fun while it lasted, but that was back several weeks ago. Simon was dead on about Jailhouse Rock. It was someone trying to do Elvis rather than an artist doing their own thing. Boring. His second song...hard to say cause I hate that song and I keep hearing Cartman sing it in my head when I hear it. It was ok stuff there.

Chris - The glasses and jacket were lame, and the song was just ok. It wasn't bad really, just didn't wow me. His second song I was really worried about(A Little Less Conversation), but here he nailed it. It was cool he didn't get into rocker voice until the end there and just an overall great job.

Elliott - I said two weeks ago that Paris was the likely one to leave unless she came up with two awesome performances. She didn't even come close. Elliott was in that spot this week and O..M...G. I have liked his voice from the beginning and now his look and personality and song choice have finally caught up. Both of his songs were miles ahead of anything else the others did tonight.

Kat - The Kat hater in me is laughing, but it's a nervous laugh. Cause she bombed that first song. Forgot words, seemed to not be able to keep up with the music. It was bad, bad, bad. Which is a shame because she honestly started it out fine. The second song she oversang by a mile. Just belting out notes that had no reason to be belted. If she would have kept it a bit more tame it would have been good, but she didn't.

Bottom line - Kat was by far the worst tonight. If any of those guys go home instead of her it will be a total joke. Especially Elliott. Taylor probably deserves to be down there with her in the last two.

I can't believe anyone is taking Elliott seriously singing "Trouble" which is a tough guy song. It was a like parody or something. Sure his voice was pretty good on it, but so is Weird Al's from time-to-time.

My wife said it best "Imagine that show choir/band nerd from high school trying to sing 'Bad to the Bone' at a school assembly. Sure the guy can sing; but that guy singing that song must be for comedic purposes only and NOT for the final four on the most watched show in America."

All that said the comments from the Judges will keep him around and SMOKIN' HOT as she is Katherine will go home.

I'm so far off the board map on this one it's ridiculous.

When I close my eyes and just listen to the voices themselves, the only one that I could actually believably hear on the radio tomorrow is Taylor. He's got the perfect kind of voice for the Lite FM crowd that probably doesn't vote in a competetion like this. Take away all his squiggling and flopping around, and he's a damn fine singer. Which shocked the hell out of me, because I hated him until about a month or so ago.

That said, I think Katharine probably has the best shot of coming out of the competition with any sort of immediate success. She's sure to look pretty on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, or whatever, and she can sing. I kind of hate theme weeks like this, because no matter what song she picked, she was going to sound ridiculous singing Elvis, and she did.

Elliot has a fine voice, but he's just plain worn thin on me. Both of his songs tonight were awful, and let's face it, he's an ugly sumbitch. It's something the judges rarely ever want to touch on, but there's more to being a "pop superstar" coming out of these competitions than "singing well," and being pretty is and should be part of it. He's probably the best "voice" left, but he doesn't have the look of Kat or Chris, and he's not anywhere near as charismatic as Taylor. He could probably go on tour with Dustin Diamond though.

Chris seams to have the Vin Diesel with way too much make-up thing going for him. Personality wise, he's probably my least favorite one left, because everything he sings sounds exactly like some kind of weird Creed cover, and there's hardly ever any variation from that theme. That said, I think he'll probably win the competition running away because of the way the judges fawn over his every move.

Who should go home? Elliot.

Who will go home? Elliot.

I think the final four are totally who they should be and I'll pretty much accept any order of elimination from here on out but I think it kind of sucks that Elvis Presley is the genre this week. All four of the remaining singers are obviously talented and it's pretty dumb for one of them to get booted because they can't sing an Elvis song. I understand wanting to hear them try different genres, but once you get to the top four or five I say let them sing whatever they want so you can hear their best performances, or atleast go with the very generic topics last like love songs and current hits. They should be saving the best for last, and this was definitely not it.

It's Final 4 night - A night in which we have said good-bye to Tamyra Gray, Josh Gracin, LaToya London and Anthony "Sergei" Fedorov.....

Taylor - He's a performer and an entertainer. I didn't love his first song and I am getting tired of his antics but he did well on his second song. He got a ton of shout outs to the Soul Patrol.

Elliott - He looked like "Teen Wolf" when he met with Tommy Mottola. He has a great voice but no charisma - no potential star power - he is Simon Cowell's worst nightmare from a sales perspective out of the Final 4. He was fina and based solely on his voice he would be safe.

Chris - not all surprised by the first song choice but I felt he didn't rock it out enough - The Fine Young Cannibals did it a lot better - the 2nd song I was sure would be a bomb but he nailed it.

Katharine - "Hi. My name is dunk. I'm a Kat-a-holic". There now that I got that out of the way - she blew it tonight. She started out fine but a song medley sounds to "theme park" at this stage of the game and you just knew that Randy was going to kill her for forgetting her lines. Her 2nd song was our wedding song and mrs. dunk almost broke the TV - she was too soft to start, completely oversang the 2nd part and ran out of steam trying to hit # 714 at the end. I can tell you that I did not get many busy signals as I dialed her # an hour after the show. And as an aside, the way that Tommy Mottola was ogling Kat, do you think Thalia should start to get worried ?????

So my bottom 2 were Kat (I hated typing that) and Taylor with Kat needing to go home....

but I think America will put Elliott & Taylor in the bottom 2 and it will "Teen Wolf" who will be leaving....

And I would not put it past Seacrest to say "Ladies & Gentlemen, (Blank) has left the building.".....

I agree with Quezzy in that these are the top 4 indeed. What makes it great is that they are all different.

While Chris is my favorite, he's not really going to have any trouble getting a record deal after all of this is over. That's why I'm now pulling for Elliott. He's sorta got that underdog, little-engine-that-could vibe about him now.

I really don't think Katharine is going to struggle to find work, either. It's easy to picture her as the lead singer of a country band like "Sugarland" or something like that. Plus. She. Is. That. Hot.

That said, HOPEFULLY she gets through to next week because the theme really hamstrung her. Elvis?? Come ON. Not with chicks and dudes left!

I only saw the last batch of performances, and the guys were all quite good, even Elliott, who I normally hate. Katharine was quite bad (I actually heard her first song and it wasn't good, either), but I don't really believe we'll end up with three guys in the end, so I think Elliott's going home.

Wow, I feel out of touch myself:

Taylor was awesome. His best "drunk" performance of the season with Jailhouse Rock, and his 2nd best "real" performance with In The Ghetto (still like Levon better). Should definitely be in the Final 2.

Chris was Perfectly Acceptable with his 1st song, and OMG RRRRRRRROCKED with Little Less Conversation. With his consistent performances all year, should also be a lock for the Final 2.

Elliott probably has the best voice of anyone left in the Top 4 -- but his nervousness when he's on a song he's not 100% comfortable with still hurts him. He showed this in the first song. Trouble however? Non-tough image or not, he NAILED it with that song. The 2nd round had 3 home run performances in a row, first time I can remember that happening on Idol in a while (of this high caliber, that is.)

Which left poor Kat. That mishmash of Hound Dog and All Shook Up was horrible. However, she had the chance to hit a home run with Falling In Love. She dug in, swung for the fences . . . and Mighty Kat struck out.

But we haven't had this year's OMG IT CAN'T BE shocking vote where someone who has no right sticking around makes into the really high rounds. (Bucky doesn't count.) Which is why Chris is going home tonight.

I must disagree with some of you fine folks.

Elliot was quite good. #1 for the night. Outstanding.

Taylor was #2 - he knows how to entertain. He's fun to watch and he really nailed "In the Ghetto."

Katherine was #3 - despite several missteps, she has the best voice of all and she seems pretty likable. She's the only female left to vote for, so I don't see her leaving tonight.

Chris was last, in my opinion. His repertoire is the same week after week. It was an entirely tepid version of "A Little Less Conversation." My wife and I agreed that the first 75% of the song was just a monotone. He'll be fine fronting Fuel, so just go home already.

Pieman needs to get up out of his rocking chair and remember how to ROCK.

The one thing I'm really liking about this is no one can seem to find a clear-cut favorite. I like this -- it should make for an interesting final 4 :)

Kat has to go home tonight. I was loving her in her yellow Beauty and the Beast dress last time, but this time she was that bad.

"Falling in Love" was also my wedding song. It is a slow dance with only like 5 notes. She turned it into a Mariah Carey song, instead of just singing it as written.

Very quickly...

4) Elliott - Really surprised me by doing well with the songs.

3) Chris - At least he did not do the "duck dance" JPL did in AI3.

2) Katharine - She's got to have a lot of West Coast votes to stay.

1) Taylor - That squat made him look like he was going in the toilet. He's got to go, please!!!

Should be serinaded with "Bad Day" (my first favorite song this decade) and leaving: Taylor, with Katharine on the seal.
Will be serinaded with "Bad Day" (my first favorite song this decade) and leaving: Katharine (would not be a stretch) or Elliott (will get LaToya'd/Tamyra'd...if he goes, there's going to be a lot of talking about it the day after).

I'm shocked as well. I had Chris/Katharine in the final two...in two weeks. I would have to say that he sure was upset and shocked to be knocked out. Unfortunately, they had to play the "alternate" version of "Bad Day" tonight.

I hope Taylor gets knocked out next, I just can't stand him now. Just thinking, this is the week that the remaining three go back home for a couple of days, do many things, go on their local FOX morning show, maybe a couple local radio stations.

Elliott - Fly to Richmond
Taylor - Fly to Birmingham
Katharine - Drive to Sherman Oaks

I guess it is three songs for each next week.

He should looked pissed/shocked because it was a pretty crappy thing to happen. It was clear Kat was the worst yesterday, but I had a feeling something like this might happen after reading the message boards last night. You had a lot of people saying stuff like "Kat should go home, she was the worst last night and I think she will because when I was calling for her I didn't get a lot of busy signals".

That right there is what is wrong with this show and why I never should have let myself start watching. You KNOW she was the worst and yet you voted for her anyway. Makes this whole thing a sham. I'm not nearly as upset it was Chris as I am that it wasn't her. What the hell is she gonna have to do to get kicked off at this point? She can't remember the words, oversings, gets way off track and key. And seems to be losing it a little more each week. What's it gonna take?

Well first of all I don't think one bad week should do someone in, I know that's how it's gone sometimes but I personally would not vote on one week but on the entire season, and when comparing the entire season I say Katharine has been just as good as any of the others.

Second of all, maybe people actually like singers who can't remember the words, oversings, and gets way off track and key? Have you seen some of the "singers" that are popular?

Awesome call DrHogie. I did not see this coming but should have seeing how FOX/Idol loves to shock the viewers at least once a season. Chris will be fine and will have a nice career. He was the only one who could NOT win the finals and still be successful.

I am now throwing my votes to Elliot. I hate Taylor (even though he has a good voice) and Kat is a bitch. I am sure we will see her in some B movie or Playboy in a year or two.

That's pretty harsh, and I doubt it, although I wouldn't necessarily be upset about it at all.

One thing you have to accept about "Idol" is that it's not about who is the BEST, but it's about who people LIKE THE MOST. If it were set up so that you voted the worst person off, the seasons would go much differently because that kind of thing is easier for people to agree. People tend to disagree more about who they like, and for different reasons, AND people tend to get lazy when their favorite never ends up in the bottom three or two. USUALLY, once that happens it shocks their voting bloc into making sure they get through much further (see Ruben and Bo), but this time Chris just got EXTRA unlucky and went straight to last.

To me, kat seems less interested in singing and more interested in exposure. There is no way I see her with a succesful SINGING career. Of course, i thought Chris would win in a cake walk so what do I know.

I do know this, these three are luck they were not on AI in seasons past becasue Kelly, Rueben/Clay, Fantasia and Carrie would have blown all three of them away.
