She is finally on line (as well as new trailers for Casino Royal and Pirates of the Caribbean). After seeing this trailer, I don't think the movie can come out soon enough.

I'm very curious to see Kevin Spacey's performance. He has the attitude of Hackman, whose Luthor ranks as one of the most entertaining cinema villians.

The effects look good, and there's a good amount of humor in the trailer.

But I'm most pleased to hear the John Williams theme. That makes me happy.

Spacey looks aces as Luthor, btu I still have worries other Routh and Bosworth. The Pirates trailer has me far more amped. Davy Jones plays the organ with his beard, fer cryin' out loud!

Spacey as Luthor is going to be awesome.

Geez, is that the kid from "Not Another Teen Movie" as Jimmy Olson?

EDIT: The same kid from "Jungle 2 Jungle" too? Amazing.

I so second that.
I rewatched all the movies the past few weeks, to get ready.
Then seeing Spacey doing a perfect Hackman style Luthor was awesome.
Looking forward to this.

I'm a little disappointed that they're going the Hackman route with the Luthor character (as far as the trailer indicates anyway), but that's swayed by my love of the character in the JLU series and what D.C. Comics has done with him in the past year. Spacey's one of my favorite actors though, so I believe he's good enough to change my mind once I see the movie.

What does bother me, though, is Lois Lane's character having a kid. With someone else! For me, it takes some of the sting out of her character, who in this movie seems too young to be a career-obsessed no-nonsense chick with a kid. But more importantly, it's not Kal-El's. And if it is, then Kal-El has an illegitimate child - BLASPHEMY!

Just a minor complaint, and I'm holding out hope that the actual movie will justify the presence of the child.

I'm reaching here.. but one reason I can think of for Lois's kid would be to play up the whole "tough independent woman" schtick that her character has.

(of course, "independent woman" who always gets into trouble and has uber-powerful dude constantly bail her out is a contradiction, but hey...)

In an intentional scheduling coup, Cinemax is airing the original 1979 "Superman" and "Superman II" over the next month or so. Both have lots of screentime for "Lex Luthor- ruler of Australia!"
