Brett Favre has decided to FINALLY make a damn decision (sports.espn.go.com) and come back for another season.

Maybe the organization will get him a supporting cast this time around.

I'm just glad it's done and over with. I was getting pretty weary of people asking "is he or isn't he" seemingly every day for the past month and a half. At least it's in time for the draft, so that people can stop speculating that Green Bay's going to draft a QB.

Regardless of whether or not they put a team behind Favre, I seriously doubt they'll be contenders next season (though depending on what offseason moves are made a playoff appearance isn't out of the question). He's just not as good as he was, although that's still probably better than almost half of the starting QBs in the NFL right now.

As much as I dislike Favre (or more appropriately fans/analysts/commentators who man-crush on him), considering what he's done for that franchise they probably owe him more than to put out a team of schlubs that leads to him retiring after consecutive losing seasons.

Isn't he only ten or so touchdowns away from Marino's record? He'll break it this year and then he's out.

He's 24 short of Marino. The record is 420 and Favre has 396.

Since '94 Favre has exceeded 24 TDs in all but three seasons, but one of the three was last year.
