OK, if I owned a restaurant, there is no way on earth that I'd ever hire Stephen, either as a sommelier or as a chef, after this show is over. Even for the novelty factor. Granted, he's much more entertaining than Santino (from Project Runway.) But can you imagine trying to wrangle a decent bottle of wine out of this guy at an expensive dinner??? (Much less, getting him to go away to let you drink it in peace.) He would, however, make a fabulous heel manager working for Vince.
Goes without saying that Lee Ann, Tiffani & Harold are the obvious favourites for the final. (The "script" & casting for Top Chef are close enough to Project Runway that I'm assuming that they'll have a "final 3" here too.) They have positioned Tiffani to be enough of a heel-but-legit-competitor to be in the final 3. Harold is the one mostly flying just under the radar. Hopefully, Lee Ann is "the nice one" that stays in for the final.
Anybody else watching this? And laughing at Stephen as much as I do?
(Oh, and a "Screw You" to Bravo's website for giving me absolutely *nothing* unless I upgrade my Flash player. Feh.)

I have been watching whenever I can (4am tomorrow morning) and I have enjoyed this show a lot. Stephen is an absolute ass. He is destined for a slot in the Surreal Life House with Kellie Pickler. I am glad that Miguel is finally gone and Dave is a drama queen. Harold & Lee Ann are solid but I think Tiffani is best chef in the bunch and should win. Judge Tom is brutal and Katie Lee Joel brings nothing but a monotone wooden performance to the table.
Emma - upgrade the flash - it's free and it's worth it to read Tom's Blog

Somehow I got addicted to the show, and I agree, Stephen is hilarious. I genuinely hope he makes it to the last episode, because I can't imagine an episode without him. And I love how Dave cries after EVERY elimination (although the huge shocker was the he didn't cry last week). But I agree that Harold, Lee Ann, and Tiffani are by far the front runners.

Harold should be gone by now. One lousy dish after another, including the worst dish at the wedding, but he flies below the radar by sucking up to everyone.
I can't imagine Tiffani winning. She has zero personality, zero respect for customers, zero honesty, and she makes lame excuses whenever her dishes suck. She's been the real lead heel on the show since the YMCA episode.
I'm left rooting for Dave, a guy who apparently doesn't know how to use salt and pepper, or Lee Ann. I guess Lee Ann should take it. No personality, but at least she doesn't openly show contempt for her customers and rivals.
I do think Bravo needs to tweak their reality formula. The challenges are designed to screw with the contestants, so it is hard to gauge a reasonable expectation. I'd like to see Michael Kors and Tom Colicchio take the same challenges and show us what a real pro could deliver under the same difficult circumstances. I wonder if they would be up for it.
Worst nightmare: Tiffani wins and becomes even more insufferable like walking plea for attention Jay.
I was also figuring the final three would be Tiffani, Harold, and Lee Ann, but Dave has been looking stronger the last couple of weeks. Overdramatic though he may be, he's clearly more rooted in practicality than Tiffani or Harold, and I could see him bumping one of the others if they stumble.
