According to an NBC press release available, amongst other places, at The Futon Critic, NBC dusts off the old 40-minute finales on Thursday May 11th as Will & Grace ends its run, and My Name is Earl and The Office continue their runs.

That makes me happy, as Earl & Office are amongst the best shows on the moving picture box. Now, if only NBC could find another pair of shows to put alongside them.

I love The Office, don't like Earl. But maybe NBC should throw Teachers in their Thursday line upcasue where it airs now it jsut falls on the bottom of my viewing line up and I like the show.

I held the same opinion after watching "Earl" for the first two weeks it was on. In the past few weeks I've caught more of the episodes though, and the show's really grown on me (especially Suplee's character). It's a good thing this started off as a hit, because I'd be really bummed if it was cancelled and I only started appreciating it after the fact.

Still haven't seen "Teachers." I never really liked laugh tracks, but ever since "Arrested Development" I've found that they really get on my nerves no matter how good the show is (which is a shame).

Can't say I'll be shedding any tears about the conclusion of "Will & Grace."

Quick question: I know NBC has done these in the past; so how do they handle the extra time allotted for its broadcast premiere when the episode in question is rerun in syndication? Do they just completely edit out some scenes?

I think that The Office is much better than Earl, but I do like Earl. It was funnier in the beginning, but once they tweaked things as the season went along it became a stronger show. Such as Joy not trying to kill Earl, or get half of his money every week. That couldn't go on forever, so now she is just one of the gang. But The Office has to be one of my top 3 favorite shows right now.
