They've already axed the Tick, the Lone Gunmen, and any other new shows with promise other than 24. And no, I haven't forgiven them for the Critic's early demise. I really hope Richter and Greg make it... I can't stand them playing more than half their shows three times a week. Promote this thread! | | odessasteps

That must be NBC's Nascar coverage you are talking about, all they do is wear out that Metallica song. | MoeGates

I have the feeling it's going to be one of those shows where Andy is doing an interview when he's famous for something else in 10 years and the host asks "what was up with your first sitcom?" and Andy says something like "well, the producers made me do stuff I didn't think was me, but I was so exited just to have a show I'd do anything."

i completely agree, but given that he isn't such a big name (i love how they referred to him as conan o'brien's sidekick in the previews) this may have been his only chance to get his own tv show. so if it fails, at least he can say he gave it a try.

many times, i think. it was great how they would move it into such great time slots (thursday at 8:30) and show the ratings as evidence of how well liked it was. that and the fact they rarely had commercials/previews of new episodes other than right after the show ended. if malcolm in the middle is as popular as they claim it is, why not move it out of the sunday 8:30 slot, switch it to thursdays at 8:30, and see how well it really does? switch it with family guy and i'm sure the ratings would tell a different story. but i'm just bitter and it's a moot point now. i would have liked to seen comedy central pick up family guy, but i saw they were seeing if upn was interested.

It is absolutly insane ending up putting family guy on Thursday at 8ish. I bunch of there demographic (teenagers and idiotic college kids *us*) is making a little men in tights program on UPN the number 4 spot over Family Guy's Fox.
That show always seems to be on life support every summer, hopefully they don't pull the plug. | OlFuzzyBastard

| #11 Posted on 14.5.09 0816.20 | Don't worry, seven years ago people - through the magic of DVD and adult swim, Family Guy will eventually become a headless lifeless corpse that will refuse to die, eventually consuming all of humanity in a barrage of increasingly poor knockoffs and Stewie t-shirts. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
