I just picked it up last week and am about 20 hours into it. So far, I'm really digging it. It's sooo much better than the last one, in fact I think it's on the same level as Suikoden II. I really love how they've stepped up on the character development and interaction for many of the characters. The main character especially, even though he is a "silent hero", seems really expressive because of facial expressions and all the choices of response you are given along the way. Has anybody else around here gotten it too?

Kind of. The thing that sets the Suikoden games apart is that you can recruit up to 108 people -- they can't all be in your party at once, of course, but you can have lots of different combinations. (And they're of wildly differing abilities -- you can include the chef, or the guy in charge of the baths.)
I've only played up through III, which is one of my favorite RPGs ever -- maybe my favorite. I also just bought V, but I won't get around to playing it for awhile (my brother is still borrowing IV).
Has anyone here played Suikoden Tactics? I love FF Tactics and I'm wonderng how it compares.
