| #3 Posted on 6.4.06 1438.25 Reposted on: 6.4.13 1438.31 | Remember - Sunday Night is the new MNF. Monday night has been downgraded.
Favre still draws ratings (or at least he did last year). Take a look at what the NFL Network has chosen for their final game of the year - potentially Brett's last game at Lambeau Field.
Looking at the schedule, it occurred to me that football pools will need to be completed early from Thanksgiving on due to the Thursday Night game. Damn - the bowling alley needs to get the NFL Network!!! | Mr. Boffo

| #5 Posted on 6.4.06 1712.11 Reposted on: 6.4.13 1713.29 | It's not just Favre...there are huge numbers of Packer fans nationwide, so the NFL knows Packer games on nat'l TV will draw ratings everywhere. Case in point: I remember Bucs QB Trent Dilfer complaining that old Tampa Stadium had 30,000 Packer fans in it for one Bucs/Pack game.

I mean - the Pack is going to suck this year; watching those away teams freeze is the only thing that would get me to tune-in that late in the season. :) | Texas Kelly

| #7 Posted on 6.4.06 2030.26 Reposted on: 6.4.13 2030.42 | Always glad to see the Bucs get screwed as usual. Only two national games are the previously announced Thanksgiving matchup in Dallas and a Monday nighter against the Panthers in Carolina (which fuckin' boggles my mind because WE WON the friggin' division, not the Panthers). They pulled the usual stunt of stacking the division games in one half of the season (this year, for a change, it's the first half rather than the second half), and then, of course, we drew every potential cold-weather road game on our schedule in December except for the Giants on the weekend before Halloween.
Sure, we'll overcome it just like we did last year, but seriously... what do we need to do to get the schedulemakers to show us a little friggin' respect?!? | drjayphd

Have you considered blowjobs? Seems like the Bears have, going off of strength of schedule. (sports.espn.go.com) Giants and Bengals have the strongest (.542 opp. win %), Bears at the bottom (.445). | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
