Yeah, that title tells you NOTHING about what the post is actually about, does it? (nme.com)

After other groups like The Cure, Depeche Mode, and Love & Rockets get all of their albums remastered, SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES are alos getting the remastered treatment, starting with JOIN HANDS, JUJU, and the really good KALEDISCOPE (featuring TEN extra tracks!).

In the past, I'm sure I've made my feelings toward this group and especially Siouxsie's voice (Which is terrible!), but I'll probably end up picking these up anyway.

Here's PRAYING they'll do something with DURAN DURAN (add all the 'Night Versions' to the CD's?) or even lesser prolific artists next. (I'd kill for remastered TUBEWAY ARMY or MODERN ENGLISH CD's... I'm just saying.)

Oh man I love me some Siouxsie Sioux. Are these getting released in the United States, or is it just in the UK?

Thought I recognized that name... the only song I've heard by Siouxsie and the Banshees was "Face to Face" off the Batman Returns soundtrack, though I saw they also covered "The Passenger" which was performed by Michael Hutchence on the Batman Forever soundtrack.

I like both songs.

Yeah, they only seemed to get popular with covers songs. The Passenger by Iggy Pop, This Wheel's On Fire by Bob Dylan, and Dear Prudence (which was mangled by her, in my opinion) originally by The Beatles.

But to show that I'm not a total hater, I thought Spellbound was agreat song and the video really made her look good.

How the fuck DID they et a song on the BATMAN RETURNS soundtrack? That was crazy.

They did score their own hits with "Peekaboo" and "Kiss Them For Me."

I'm ambivalent about the band myself; I like their sound when I occasionally hear it, but I can't call myself a fan.

The Siouxsie and the Banshees song that got on the Batman Returns soundtrack, "Face to Face", was the song that played during Max Schrek's ball when Bruce and Selina were dancing.

"You-- you don't mean you and Max?!"

"A-hahahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahaha! Hahahaha... no..."

[pulls out a gun]

"This and Max."

The song fit the scene very well, I thought. And surprisingly, "Face to Face" was the only song with lyrics that got onto the soundtrack. Every other track on the album was one of those phenomenal pieces by Danny Elfman.
