Yeah I kind of figured Audrey being a traitor was a little too outlandish. The interrogation scene with Jack was fantastic.

I KNEW that the first lady's aid was dirty. I knew it when she grilled Mrs. Logan about what happened with Cummings. Hopefully the Pierce/Palmer connection will get some shit done next week.

Well Audrey and Jack seem to have finally reconciled their love for each other. Which means something will come along later or at the end of this season to screw it up again. Jack can NEVER be happy.

Henderson is still on the loose. Kim is thankfully and surprisingly gone once again.

Edgar's replacement, Sherri, is clearly a paranoid psycho. Either that or another mole sent into CTU to throw them off with some psycho behavior and did the thing with the gas control plant just to earn their trust. Chloe should tell Buchanan about this right away that her new subordinate is a sexually paranoid psycho bitch.

Nice tease with a possible Jack death at the end of the episode. But seeing Jack run away from the explosions was AWESOME!

I'm trying to figure out if Psycho Sherri was supposed to be a one-shot gag for this episode or the next annoying sub-plot ala Lynn's sister, Driscoll's daughter, and Chase's baby. The reveal came too quickly, but was awesome nonetheless.

Well those ponderous stares already kind of showed something funky was going on with her.

But yeah, I'm already disliking this sub-plot.

At the end of the day, I'm probably going to rank this season as one of the lesser ones. Well below season 4 in terms of quality and coherence.

Sherry's paranoia regarding sexual harassment seems like it was shoe horned into the plot for no apparent reason. Then again, I thought that when the fat hobbitt's crack whore sister and her pimp mugged him.

I'm amazed at how close the airport was to CTU. Jack was able to go from being at Stenger's throat to back at CTU all during last week's closing credits and this week's previouslies. Impressive.

I liked how during the firefight in the control room, one of the fire extinguishers got shot.

Do CTU agents always carry a ton of C4 with them everywhere they go?

I liked the Audrey-Jack scene this week. Was it just me, or was stressed out-tortured Audrey hotter than normal?

Aaron's ability to keep kicking ass is impressive. I fear for him, though.

I actually think this season is better than Season 4 (the various stages of the plan are hanging together better), and I'd have to watch Season 3 again to decide where it stacks up against that, but I think I'm enjoying it more. Henderson, even when he's not on screen at all, is a billion times better than Saunders and has more connection than Marwan. When Jack's cell phone rang after the Audrey sequence, it should have been Henderson on the other line, laughing at him, since Jack has now clearly moved on to superhero status and Henderson is his arch-nemesis.

There's always some bizarre second half of the season mini subplot (Teri's amnesia, the Carrie/Michelle tension that had something to do with Michelle's brother or something, Chase's baby, etc.) I'm all for this, really, because the increasingly insane people who come in to staff CTU is a great, clearly intentional running gag by the writers that's just part of the show now. And this is the second time where I had a thought of "oh man, it would be hilarious if they-" and then they go and do it, this time with Bill Buchanan's sexual shoulder brush. I was all "They should have her say Bill Buchanan just sexually har-" and boom, she said it and Chloe gave a five-star Chloeface to sell it.

Julian Sands must have enjoyed finally getting something of the evil villain nature to do again, because he was on this time, and took a great bump into the police car at the end. My new favorite piece of music on the show (narrowly edging out the weird 80s chase music that sounds like it came from Terminator they occasionally use) has to be Theme From Russian Guys Pretending To Be Cops. That kicked ass.

Other great stuff: Aaron Pierce taking care of business again, Jack and Curtis with the stereo takedown of the first two Russians at the station, the random fire extinguisher shooting like Eddie mentioned above (just a nice throwaway detail), the fact that they had the restraint to wait five whole seasons before finally letting Jack outrun a giant ball of fire (had to be killing them), Jack's awesome open hand palm strike to KO the Marshall, Jack doing the double takedown on the first two guards on the main floor and the continuity with Jack falling victim once again to his only weakness, electricity. He should spend the break between this season and next building up an immunity. Except that he's DEAD!

So are Kim and C. Thomas Howell actually gone for good? If so, that was a strange cameo part to get a true legendary Hollywood superstar like C. Thomas for, when he could be out there making his blockbusters or running for president. I do wonder if he grew the facial hair just for the part or if he was trying to top Milo for the show's best Koko Goldstein stand-in.

Answering two plot holes from above: I think C4 is part of the standard gear carried when Curtis is field team leader, because Curtis seems to really like blowing shit up. Also, Jack managed to get back so quickly between episodes because Curtis threw him back to CTU, fastball special style, with his super strength. You'll notice it took him a lot longer to show up in the episode.

Unaddressed plot hole (at least as I type this): Where the hell did Wayne Palmer get that gun from? Did I miss a scene or did he take some guys out off-screen? Or maybe he built it out of sticks, like when Chris built the compound bow with the sighting on it and all in that one Get A Life where Chris and Larry go camping. Something was definitely messed up there.

I have no clue where Wayne got that gun from. Maybe he stole it from one of his pursuers, but they had to have deleted a scene or something because it was totally unexplained. It was nice to have an episode without the Prez and the FL for once. I agree with Henderson being a very good villain this season. Did he just assume that Jack was still alive? Because setting things up with Stenger to "screw with Jack" by blaming Audrey seems like it was carefully thought out months or weeks beforehand, when Jack was "dead".

Hayes had it right - Audrey broke Jack, not vice versa. I'm not sold at all on her innocence. Our friend Mr. Burke, the man who tortured Audrey, also tortured Henderson. Just saying...

Audrey said that Cummings had just separated from his wife when she and Cummings hooked up. So, either Cummings and wifey reconciled, or the separated spouse was in town while the Administration was at the Western White House, because she came to pick up Cummings' body. Of course, The wife could be *living* in LA, too.

What was the significance of disabling the silencers on the guns before confronting Bierko and co.?

Audrey's hair made a miraculous recovery 10 minutes later after being interrogated.
