Vince/HBK seems to be dominating TV more than Hogan/Vince did three years ago, and this match is not nearly as big as that one was. Only Bret can save this feud, and it ain't gonna happen (although I would gladly eat those words). And if he does, I would like to know what dollar amount convinced him. And while Edge/Mick seemed shoehorned into story lines at first, one Crazy Mick promo now has me interested.

How can you hate Mickie?
She's the most interesting part of the show.
She's a natural on the mic. Remember how awful Sable, Chyna, and Lita (until recently) have been?

I hope they keep her around and give her something to do after the Trish feud.

You may have seen her work matches with more polish than what I've seen. Her mic work up to this point has been screaming, crying, and cheering for Trish. But I may have never given her a decent chance once I realized they are (proving the lazy booking theory) they recycled the Sable/Tori angle. Maybe she's great, but I haven't seen it, and she's had plenty of time to display her skills on RAW in this angle.

And for comparison, hey, Trish was awful when she started and now she may be the best female wrestler I've ever seen. Maybe Mickie will improve. But mostly I hope to see her do something new and do it well.

Mickie will be a main event heel by the end of the year. Pair her onscreen with the right guy and it's going to be gold.
They already are positioning her as the 'most dangerous diva' ever or however it was phrased and they're calling the match 'the most anticipated women's title match ever.' Bodes well for Mickie. That segment was brilliant and violent and had great heat.
Alexis Laree is a pretty good performer, this whole thing so far has been angle driven but I expect WM to be good match.

Other thoughts:
They're burying Cena. He's barely on the show anymore. What are they doing? Turn him, take the belt off him, do something. But they barely have him on the show.

The Shane/Vince dynamic is going somewhere, probably nowhere good, but it's going somewhere.

I like how they stressed Hunter and Shane teaming for the first time, like it was some momentous occansion. It's not Hogan/Warrior teaming or anything like that. But, gotta love the shout out to the smark crowd with the 'one big happy family' deal.

The blood made the three-way match much better, gave it more drama (odd how accidental blood boosted tonight's show)

I have to back to work now.

I respectfully remind you that what they call it doesn't mean that's what the audience calls it. I haven't seen anything else like the Lita/Trish match that main-evented RAW in Dec. 2004. Lita came back from her neck injury to take the belt off heel Trish to an insane crowd. I want to say that was the only time a women's match has gotten that slot on the show.

Trish has held that belt since January of last year. It's about time she loses it, and I expect Mickie will do so at WM. The WWE has spent too much time on this angle for it to end in the status quo. My hope is that her PPV match allows her to show more than what we've seen so far.

What about the Stef/Lita match from all those years ago? That was the main event that night, and the crowd was super hot for that match...maybe hotter than Trish/Lita...

Quite right on the Steph v. Lita match. It was the main event that night, during the height of the McMahon-Helmsley Era (in storyline then, not yet in real life) That was insane heat and I believe popped a huge rating (of course, they were getting huge ratings every week then.) That was such a cool moment, with Steph holding the Women's belt as a prop for so long and the crowd so anxious to see her lose.

The Trish v. Lita match was also a high point for the women's division, with a great build to it.

My point about Mickie is that clearly creative is high on her and the storyline, which is why it's been the best booked storyline on Raw for months now.

My big quibble about the divas is that they don't use them better. They should be used both as wrestlers and as managers/valets.

That's why the Christian/Trish pairing worked, and why Lita/Edge works. They need to use the divas in the main event scene to maximize whatever potential they can get from them.

Put Mickie James with CM Punk or something and it'll work wonder for both (of course, I think Punk getting on Raw is the wrestling equivalent of 'Chinese Democracy' coming out.)

He's definitely not on the show very much anymore, but I wouldnt say he's being buried. Maybe they're trying to un-over-expose him by giving him to us in smaller doses?

Actually, I noticed how rarely he's on the show awhile ago and I thought they were trying to do with him what they used to do with Rock & Austin where WWE would hint & imply that he might show up for a confrontation or a run-in throughout the whole show, then have them come out at the very end to pop the crowd at the height of their anticipation.

I dont believe that method is having the same effect with Cena now, mind you, but that was my guess.

It's simple:
Cena needs to rap again.
It's what made him famous in the first place.
He needs to stand on the ramp and just rip into Hunter like he did with Brock and Undertaker. The crowd got into it at the end with the "I don't give a ____"

It's like telling Austin he has to stop drinking beer and The Rock to stop with the eyebrow. Let him do what he does best.

I couldn't tell if Foley was being serious when he talked about plugging books that "nobody is gonna read."

Did his non-wrestling stuff sell badly? It made me feel bad for him.

I dunno. To me, Lita's voice sounds like she's straining on the toilet. I either mute or fast-forward when she is talking. They are doing a good job dressing her like a prostitute, though, to help keep her hated.

I believe he was paraphrasing Edge from SNME. Edge made most of those comments then.

Lita is STILL awful. At everything. EVER.

Mick isn't in shape, and he's not coming back full time. This angle is just depressing.

They're hiding Cena until they figure out what to do with him. Rapping is NOT the answer. His promo rap is terrible, and his homophobic slur well ran dry months before he left Smackdown.

Now I just sit here, alone, waiting for Jericho to come in and LEVEL Cena with a chair, look at Hunter and shrug, saying to himself "for old times sake" and level him too.

Good GOD we need to get past the Draft Lottery already.

Oh, that makes me feel better, then.

I can't believe no one's mentioned the awesome Memphis crowd breaking into "Whoop that trick" during the Foley/Lita segment. Hilarious.

Putting Cena against the McMahons seems to be another stupid, pointless, and ultimately fruitless attempt by the creative team to try and salvage Cena as the face world champion. Is this yet another ridiculous, last ditch attempt with Cena?

Or maybe...

They are setting up something sinister, like having Cena form a NEW alliance with Vince McMahon against HHH at Wrestlemania?

As dull as I generally thought Raw was.....I have to admit, I could watch Vince McMahon 'dance' all day. That was hilarious. It got even better after he had put Shane in the match, and was going that ridiculous strut up the runway while Shane walked behind looking "WTF?"

Actually, they teamed at KOTR '00 (along with Vince) to face Rock, Taker and Kane.
