Official Preview for IWS Know Your Enemies

Call Them... SLI-Classique!

With Know Your Enemies just one week away, fan interest has been higher for this show than any IWS show since last year’s Un F’N Sanctioned with VIP tickets selling briskly. No doubt one of the biggest reasons for the IWS hardcore soldiers’ enthusiasm is the “one time only; one night only” reforming of one of the most-feared tag teams in Canadian wrestling history: Damian and Viking.

Sometimes, the best laid plans of mice and men leave you with your eyebrows burnt off and your hair blown back looking like you just opened a package from Jokey Schtroumpf. IWS champion EXesS wanted to avoid facing Viking one on one for his IWS title. Partly because EXesS, one of the best technical wrestlers ever to emerge from Quebec, is convinced that the beer drinking brawler Viking does not deserve a title shot; partly because EXesS is a gutless coward. The IWS champion recruited Franky the Mobster to tag with him and challenged Viking to find himself a tag partner.

Many people volunteered, but when Viking’s old partner, Damian, walked into the IWS office there was no doubt who would be in Viking’s corner. The odd thing is that Damian is not coming to Viking’s side out of friendship, rather it is because Damian has a bone to pick with EXesS’ tag partner Franky the Mobster. Last month at Praise the Violence, Franky the Mobster interfered in Damian’s match (with partner Beef Wellington) against the “Kalifornia Kompadres” El Generico and Kevin Steen costing Damian the win.

Detailed Preview for IWS Know Your Enemies

Joey Soprano convinced IWS management to book a match showcasing the four biggest and best heavy-weights in Quebec, teaming “Paranoid” Jake Matthews and Tomassino against the Green Phantom and three time WWF tag champ Pierre Carl Ouellet. Of course, Joey has his ulterior motives. His clients, Jake Matthews and Tomassino, can’t help but look good against PCO and the Phantom who have issues with one another related to the Phantom as Special Guest Referee costing PCO the IWS title at Season’s Beatings, December 2004 and PCO returning the favour just last month during Praise the Violence.

“Le chef” of the George W. Bush fan club, the SLI-USA, Fred la Merveille has ordered Maxime Boyer to beat Player Uno one-on-one or he will be “extradited” from the SLI-USA. Maxime Boyer is on a roll of great matches including his hardcore brawl with Viking at Season’s Beatings and his mat wrestling gem against Kid Kamikaze during Praise the Violence. But while these matches may have pleased the critics, they have infuriated Fred because Boyer keeps losing.

The International Wrestling Syndicate is pleased to announce that on March 11th during Know Your Enemies, it will present the first ever IWS Canadian Open. Open to any wrestler in Canada, the winner of the match will become the Number One Contender to Kid Kamikaze's Canadian title. Entered so far are Chris Bishop, Takao, Kenny the Bastard and at least one member of the SLI-USA. As the first ever IWS Canadian champion, Chris Bishop has to be considered the favourite in this match.

The rules of the IWS Canadian Open are as follows:
-The match will begin with two wrestlers in the ring.
-Every two minutes another wrestler will come out to ring side.
-The match will follow tornado rules:
---Wrestlers can be tagged into the ring.
---Wrestlers can enter the ring after another wrestler leaves the ring.
-Wrestlers are eliminated by pin fall or by submission.
-Winner is the last wrestler left after all others have been eliminated.

IWS tag team champions 2.0, Jagged and Shane Matthews, will defend their belts against the Kid Kamikaze Experience featuring Vanessa Kraven. Last month, Kid kamikaze “lent” his bodyguard Vanessa Kraven to 2.0 for a match against Team Ninja Gaiden, the Hardcore Ninjaz and Player Uno. The tag champs abandoned Vanessa in the ring to be triple-teamed by Team Ninja Gaiden. Double K and Vanessa will be looking for revenge and the Sultans of Smirk, 2.0, not to mention to quote Kid Kamikaze, “Adding doubles gold to my Canadian belt giving me double gold!”

IWS owner PCP Crazy F’N Manny decided, “To put all his trouble-makers in one match!” booking Beef Wellington in a handicap match against the Hardcore Ninjaz. If Beef wins, he gets a one-on-one match against his ex-room mate the treacherous El Generico. If the Hardcore Ninjaz win, they get their shot at regaining the tag team titles.

Dan Paysan’s former valet continues to seek revenge on Dan by bringing in mystery opponents to face him. D’Vyne hinted that her choice is, “Someone that the entire IWS locker room is jealous of, the same way that people are jealous of me.”

Finally, Twiggy, enraged at the injuries suffered by his tag team partner Porn Star Juan, has challenged IWS Owner PCP Crazy F’N Manny to a match at Know Your Enemies. Juan had his jaw broken in two places by Damian during Season’s Beatings, but Twiggy doesn’t blame Damian, he blames the man who ordered the match. To call this a David vs Goliath match would be to insult David. Twiggy claims to be 126 pounds, but honestly to weigh in at that amount Twiggy would have to have a ten pound brick in his back pocket. And he will need that brick to take down Manny who at 245 pounds is in the best shape in his life. They say that it is not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog, but this is more like a psychotic Chihuahua taking on a rabid Grizzly.
