I promise, this month, I will have a new one of these EVERY Tuesday. This way, it doesn't get stale after a week and I'll be able to keep up with it a little better. Help the board out and buy something, won't you.
Here are your new DVD releases for this week ----- THE APE (The W at Amazon)- Here's all you need to know; writer/director James Franco (Harry Osborne from the Spider-man films) does a movie about a guy living with a talking, foul-mouthed gorilla in a Hawaiian shirt. Comedy, does indeed, ensue. ARMORED TROOPER VOTOMS-STAGE 1: UOODO CITY (The W at Amazon)- Animated giant robots fun from Japan. BAD RELIGION: LIVE AT THE PALLADIUM (The W at Amazon)- Awesome group; one of the few that you can say who are better live then in a studio. THE BEST OF GO-GO GOPHERS (The W at Amazon)- Freakin' AWESOME! This was originally shown on UNDERDOG, but since we're not getting a seasonal boxed set of that show, they're tossing out separate discs of the show. There's also a TENNESSEE TUXEDO disc out as well. THE BRADY BUNCH: THE COMPLETE FIFTH SEASON (The W at Amazon)- And the final season as well. This was the season that introduced Cousin Oliver and had Joe Namath as a guest star. BREAKING DAWN (The W at Amazon)- Honestly, I have no idea what it's about, but Edie McClurg (imdb.com) is in it, so you MUST buy it! BUSTER KEATON: 65th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION (The W at Amazon)- Not quite his best work, but these shorts show what a studio can do to a great comedic mind when it forces it to play by their rules. Less Buster Keaton-ish and more Three Stooges like. THE COSBY SHOW: SEASON 2 (The W at Amazon)- Meh. All I remember from this show was that his stand-up routine was better... and that Lisa Bonnet went on to have sex with Mickey Rourke in ANGEL HEART. THE EASTER BUNNY IS COMIN TO TOWN (The W at Amazon)- Rankin & Bass, clamation easter special that was WAY BETTER then the horrible Peter Cottontail one they did... thankfully. THE FLINTSTONES: THE COMPLETE FIFTH SEASON (The W at Amazon)- This season had one of my favorite episodes in it... THE GRUESOMES! It's worth it just for that episode. FREE ENTERPRISE: THE FIVE YEAR MISSION, EXTENDED EDITION! (The W at Amazon)- What the hell! Audie England WASN'T naked in this... THAT'S why I've never seen it up till now, I suppose. GREATEST ADVENTURES OF THE BIBLE: MOSES (The W at Amazon)- When I was a kid, and I'd be flipping the channel trying to find a cartoon to watch, sometimes, I'd find my way to an episode of this series, and when it was over I would say to myself "What the fuck was that! Where's the giant robots or funny characters? That was an animated church commercial!" and NOW, looking back at those times, I WAS entertained by the stories, so I think I might end up getting a few of these. HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE (The W at Amazon)- This is the one where I think I finally admitted to myself that Emma Watson is rather hot in a creepy kind of way. She's really 'filled out' since the first film. HOGAN'S HEROES: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON (The W at Amazon)- Wow, these are getting put out pretty quick. Wasn't Season two just out for Christmas? THE HOOKERS/P.P.S. (Prostitute's Protective Society) (The W at Amazon)- Something Weird Video releases more rare nudie/exploitation films for the freaks in all of us. ...err, by 'all of us', I mean ME, mostly, I suppose. THE HOUSE ON TELEGRAPH HILL (The W at Amazon)- Little seen Robert Wise film noir classic. This disc also features the trailer for the original NO WAY OUT that Kevin Costner almost ruined with a remake. HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE (The W at Amazon)- Haven't seen it yet, but there,s a $1.50 theater here in town that is showing it and I plan on seeing it before the week is out. I'll probably still buy it, though, because it's Miyazaki. I WALK THE LINE (The W at Amazon)- Tuesday Weld, Gregory Peck... I must own. POLICE WOMAN: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON (The W at Amazon)- Angie Dickinson looking HOT in a police uniform for 22 episodes. This set also includes the original two hour episode of POLICE STORY that the show spun out of. PORNOGRAPHY: THE SECRET HISTORY OF CIVILIZATION (The W at Amazon)- Hmm... color me interested. PORTRAIT OF HELL (The W at Amazon)- WOW! I've been waiting to finally see this. It's about an artist who tries to paint a 'beautiful masterpiece' for a collector, and all he seems able to paint are horrific scenes of death and violence. It's based on a manga story of the same name. It was made way back in 1969. ROBIN HARRIS: LIVE FROM THE COMEDY ACT THEATER (The W at Amazon)- You might only know him because of BEBE'S KIDS, but he was pretty damn funny before the kids stuff. THE SCOOBY-DOO/DYNOMUT HOUR: COMPLETE SERIES (The W at Amazon)- FUCK YEAH! This was the series that introduced up the the awesomeness that is Scooby-Dum. THREE'S COMPANY: SEASON 6 (The W at Amazon)- I actually think I liked Joyce DeWitt over Suzanne Sommers... call me crazy. THE TOXIC AVENGER (UMD for PSP) (The W at Amazon)- ...because that's just what every parent needs, to have a young child under the age of 10 watching THE TOXIC AVENGER! UNDERTAKING BETTY (The W at Amazon)- Excellent little film featuring Christopher Walken and Alfred Molina playing rival undertakers (YES, the know how to sell, hahaha) after the same woman. WALKING TALL: THE SERIES (The W at Amazon)- Bo Svenson took over the roll that Joe Don Baker made famous for this early eighties NBC series. It wasn't all that bad, I remember L.Q.Jones being in an episode and also I remember Merlin Olsen played a bad guy trying to kill the main character as well. -----

A Free Enterprise special edition director's cut? If they fixed the ending, I'm totally on board. And I don't know how you can say that Bad Religion sounds better live than studio, because they are the only band that I honestly can't tell the difference between their live tracks and their albums. It's uncanny.

Well I should hope so, seeing as she was only 11 when the first Harry Potter came out.
