| #2 Posted on 20.2.06 1439.09 Reposted on: 20.2.13 1439.21 | Jeez, you make it sound like I did a big writeup on the Orpheum.
Expanding on that (and this wasn't included in my PM to CRZ), I was originally looking to combine a particular Pearl Jam concert poster with "the-w.com" (the poster was a lighthouse w/ an octopus wrapped around it, with "Pearl Jam" written in the shining lightbeam - I was going to replace "Pearl Jam" with "the-w.com"), but I came up empty trying to google a pic of it. Sticking w/ the musical theme, I then came up w/ using a concert ticket, so I googled for concert tickets for theaters in the Minneapolis area, since CRZ lives near there, and that ticket is what I found.
From there, it was just a matter of taking out Elvis Costello and making "THE-W.COM". Luckily, the white space is nondescript enough that I was able to copy a little part, then stretch it out over the original printing. The only "tricky" parts were inverting the M to make a W, increasing the size of a couple letters/numbers from the "restoration fee" line to make the date, and fashioning the B in "FEB" out of the P in "Orpheum". I think I got the 6 for "2006" from another concert ticket pic.
This was all done in MSPaint, btw.

Me am stupid.
The Orpheum Theatre is in MINNEAPOLIS, which is where CRZ is near, not Milwaukee. | cranlsn

Don't feel too bad...I spent about 1/2 hour trying to think of where in Milwaukee it was...

At least to my credit, I've never actually BEEN to the one in Minneapolis. I left when I was 4 for crying out loud! | CRZ
