Dreadful. Just dreadful. I feel like I've just wasted the last two hours of my life.

HHH vs Show: decent match, good visual with HHH going through the wall, terrible booking of a double count-out, even odder booking of a Triple Threat with RVD for next week (I bet RVD's happy).

Shelton vs Eugene: did this boring match really have to happen so we could see Flair vs. Shelton?

Divas match: next.

Retirement Party: I didn't understand this at all. From Shawn looking like he spent $20 at Goodwill for his clothes, to the lame Spirit Squad cheer, to Vince's odd cycling of emotions, to the obvious result. What was the purpose of this again?

Nice Hitman video package - though I wonder if there's any hidden meaning to the "induction" ceremony being held on April 1st.

Micki as Trish: OK, now some weird assault angle is thrown into the mix - kinda late in the storyline, too. Couldn't Trish see the blond wig on the floor behind Micki? Also, the assault just happens to take place in front of an "invisible" WWE camera, and nobody could show Trish the footage?

Edge vs. Cena: nothing really new - and there always seems to be a ref bump in these title matches these days. Donning stripes really makes a wrestler a wimp, I guess - hardcore legend Foley gets waylaid by an arm smash?

Ick.

Steph

Sounds like I should be glad I didn't watch it. Antique tractor show was on and it sounds more interesting than RAW..

Maybe it's just me, but engineering a fake sexual assault while there's a camera six inches from your face seems like sort of a bad idea. I know they do this kind of shit all the time, but somehow this seems worse -- probably because accusing someone of a felony is involved.

Speaking of shit they do all the time, WWE continues to send a message loud and clear: We hate women. Please note that in WWE's perverted universe, the only instances of rape, sexual assault and sexual harassment are fakes perpetrated by disingenuous women in order to discredit men.

As I have said before, I am neither offended nor shocked by absolutely anything WWE does, ever, except the constant demeaning and debasement of women.

Triple H/Show was okay; like Steph said, a nice visual through the barricade....Eugene/Shelton was surprisingly short....The Divas match was very wisely kept short, and seemed to exist just so Candice could tout her Playboy cover. Couldn't she have done that on "Unlimited"?....The retirement party was very blah. Just nothing real interesting going on....

The Mickie/Trish thing was intriguing, and I wonder if we've really seen the last of Jack....Edge/Cena was fine for setting up Edge/Foley at WM. I'd like to see Cena interacting more with the guys that are in the tournament and that he could face at WM.

I doubt it, seeing as Ray "Jack" Gordy is supposed to be pretty acceptable as young second-generation workers go.

And the show? The show was quite bad.

Well, I've been waiting three days to discuss RAW and now I've forgotten most of it...

I did enjoy the Cena/Edge match. The strength and determination Cena showed in catching Edge and putting him into his finishing manouver blew me away.

The other thing I remember was the sick position HHH's body was in after Show nailed him through the wall. Well done!

Have to give them credit the way they are booking that spunky babyface Trip into a situation where he has to go against all odds in order to win the Triple Threat. Combining him facing a Giant and a guy who continually injures him when they face each other they really are making him a Mikey Whipwreck'ish underdog. Of course, it would be beneficial if he wasn't a heel, but he's a McMahon-in-law, so that's close enough. It was a decent match between him and Wight though.
I guess the writers watched that new movie Single White Female recently.
Paint drying is more exciting that John Cena.
At least they played the Lost Smile bit.

Here's how bad the writing/booking has gotten: tonight I was channel-surfing during a mind-nubming segment and stumbled upon Dragonball-Z. I kept watching DBZ 'cuz its storyline was better (and advancing at a quicker pace). Bleh.

(Hey, did anyone else notice BigShow's singlet strap splitting? Does that make it a duolet?)

What I learned from RAW:

Vince needs a hug. A hug from many, many strippers.

Micki looks much better as a blonde. MUCH better.

Eugene's favorite veggie? Squash. That may have been the cleanest win Shelton's enjoyed since losing his title.

Cena pulled off the Brock 'catch, shrug, finisher' combo really well. Edge also managed a delightful boot to the head. My point: Maybe they should start wrestling in the style of their bodies. Cena seems about as strong as Masters is made to be, and Edge should wrestle as the tall guy he is. No more standing sleeper scissors. Save that for the groun-pounders and luchadores.

Masters has a pathetic running shoulderblock. His collision to send RVD over the railing was darn near gingerly.

I flipped back and forth between this and the Olympics.

The first thing my girlfriend noticed about that was the date, saying it better not be an April Fools joke.

But yeah, a letdown of a show, but then again, maybe that's because we had to wait an extra 3 days to watch. Even though we've seen Big Show take someone through the wall before, it is still awesome every time it happens, and the way HHH was folded up afterwards, added a nice effect, where he actually look like he'd been broken in half.

The Shawn Michaels stuff was crap...and if Vince was the one who hand-selected the moments they showed throughout the show, why in the hell would he show a clip of HBK & HHH rubbing the MSG incident in his face? I didn't understand that.

I know it can't possibly happen and hell will freeze over if it ever did, but part of me thinks RVD actually has a little bit of a shot to win next week. A guy can dream I suppose??

You can dream, but it will never happen. Most likely scenario, a triple count out where it turns into a fatal fourway at 'Mania. This way, HHH can win without pinning Cena.

Something that occurred to me: Is this angle going to end with Michaels helping Vince to find salvation and inner peace through Christ (after a brutal Wrestlemania street fight, of course)? Yeah, probably not, but that sure seems like where it's going. Plus Vince is just cynical enough to see the boom in evangelical Christianity in recent years and think he can capitalize on it, not to mention dumb/arrogant enough not to realize that he can't capture a hardcore evangelical audience because they'll be turned off by the other stuff he'll continue to do.

Or maybe Michaels will help Vince find Jesus, only to have Vince pull some sort of "It was me, Austin! It was me all along!" thing on him. Yeah, that's probably more likely.

Given the penchant to dust off Legend characters, I don't think a Brother Love return is impossible. Without explicit denomination references, he and Vince can still play the enlightened-soul angle.

The thing that frightened me about it was that its point was clearly to set up some dissension in the ranks between Candice and Torrie. "And it will be the best Playboy cover ever" and the tossing her robe to Torrie to hold like a servant. Yes, they are going to have a wrestling feud between Torrie Wilson and Candice Michelle. :(

That Triple H/ Big Show spot was awesome! Never seen that idea before. Oh wait, yes we have, many, many times.

King really can't cheer for the face wrestlers, it just doesn't work.

Speaking of Brett, has anybody seen the PPV special (I'm assuming it came off of some DVD about Brett) ? It was 2 hours long and they spent about 5 minutes on the Montreal Incident. They promised they would reveal all, but they didn't reveal anything!

Brett said it wasn't about losing the belt in Canada, but then never explained what it was about. Talk about cheap. If I didn't know anythign about the incident, I would have been scratching my head ater watching it because they danced aroudn the issue as best they could!
I looked for a thread on that DVD/PPV, but couldn't find it..

Overall a pretty terrible Raw in my opinion. The only thing I really enjoyed was HHH/Show. It was kinda funny though that it was obvious as hell when Show was gonna blade. He pulled it right out of his left elbow pad right in front of the camera. You see he is obviously holding something when he picks up HHH. Lol, and to top it all off they show him throw it under the ring. Id have to say it was the most obvious blade job I have ever seen.

After reading all this I am glad I forgot it was even on last night.

Also, I don't think Ray Gordy is Jack. I thought they hired an actor to play the part.

There's a resemblance, but I don't think it's him.

I once saw the Undertaker pull out a blade, slice his forehead and throw it away in closeup. I think it might have been on a PPV. I'll never see a more obvious blade job than that because a more obvious one isn't possible.
