I must confess I ALMOST made a reservation. (Instead, I made a massive crock pot stew instead - practically the same food!)

I got my wife a Mary Kay gift basket (our neighbor sells Mary Kay and knew exactly what she wanted). She reciprocated with steak dinner, veggies and rice. Overall, a very nice day.

I got her flowers and a Max Lucado book and she put hearts and kisses in my car. Lovey-dovey stuff.

But we stayed in last night and watched the Os - very romantic. As a sign of my love, I did not question the sexual orientation of the figure skaters.

We got 27 plus in, we go out when it's NOT packed.

I finagled an extra long break and took the Mrs. out for lunch. It's one of the few times we can go anywhere without the kids...blissful quietude...

We had an interesting night.

The girlfriend and I made plans to go to McDonalds after I finished work and she finished school...but she showed up at the wrong location. I waited at the location near work for almost an hour before heading home on the bus; I called her up to find out where she was, and then she met me at my place. We ended up going to the McD's and then we shared chocolates by candlelight before heading to bed around 11:00pm.

It was a rare treat to see her during the week, and it was wonderful to spend Valentines Day with her.
