| #1 Posted on 14.2.06 1143.06 Reposted on: 14.2.13 1145.02 | I know I'm in the minority, but I enjoy using Netscape's browser ... Even after AOL got involved, I continued to surf with Netscape because that's what I've been using since college and (quite frankly) it's what I'm used to.
However, I'm hesitant to upgrade to Netscape 8.1 ... it's supposed to feature new anti-spyware protection, but from what I've gathered on the web (particularly articles found here and here) it doesn't really offer much in the way of protection at all.
I'm almost tempted to just stick with Netscape 8.0.4 at home, but I'm not sure if that's a smart thing to do security-wise (I recently had to remove something called "SpywareNo" from my computer, and I'm not sure if it showed up due to Netscape or not) ... Most likely, I'll just switch over to FireFox (I've already started using it at work and like it well enough), but I was just wondering if anyone here is using Netscape 8.1 and what their impressions of it are/were.
