| #1 Posted on 13.2.06 0139.19 Reposted on: 13.2.13 0139.32 | One day later, I finally got around to hitting the old Tivo. Good one-shot episode that didn't involve the ongoing Legion storyline. This was a major Flash episode and brought in the best of the Scarlet Speedster's rogues gallery. Yeah, Batman and Orion were there, but I didn't feel like they added much to this episode and you really could have cut and paste any other hero in Orion's spot.
This was all about Flash and his villains. Alexis Denisof (Wesley of Angel fame) absolutely knocked it out of the park as Mirror Master and the exchange between Flash and Trickster reminds me a lot of why I love this series; they really go out of their way to humanize a lot of the characters, even minor ones like Trickster, rather than just the black and white from the days of the Superfriends.
Don't come here looking for pivotal season plot points. This go-around was simply for fun and fun it was.
EDIT: Best part of the episode:
Orion: What about your enemy? Flash: Oh right. Dude! As soon as you finish your drink, turn yourself in! Trickster: Got me again, Flash!

If Flash becomes a pivotal character for the coming season, they did a good job of showing us why we should care about him. The interaction he has with all of Central City shows how much he cares about people. He told one lady that he was coming by on the weekend to cut her grass.
His methods are incomprehensible to people like Orion that take themselves waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to seriously. Even at the end of the episode, Orion didn't understand Flash's motivations. He's not hiding a "Warrior's Heart" behind his attitude and actions. Wally is simpler than that. What you see is what you get. He fights crime but, more importantly to him, he helps good people.
I guess that sums up how he is different from some JLU members. He's not a crimefighter. He's a hero. | Tenken347

Batman hangs a suspect forty stories off the ground to get info, Flash just talks to them to get the same results. That's pretty cool. "James, you're wearing the costume again." | The Vile1

Good way to introduce Linda, Flash's wife in the comics.
I like the animated DCU and everything, but its been rather annoying how the producers made the series this politically liberal show. | Tenken347

I've been thinking about that comment all day, and for the life of me I just can't figure out what you're talking about. And yes, Mark Hammill was both the voice of the animated Trickster and the actor who portrayed his live-action counterpart. | The Vile1

Hawk and Dove was probably the worst episode ever of the series.
Plus there was the whole government conspiracy against the Justice League along with the evil conservative army general played by JK Simmons.
