I'm surprised this thread hasn't come up (unless I missed it). This year's crop of commercials was particularly weak, but there were still some good ones, especially from the gang at Anheiser Busch.

The best one for me was the football game between the Budweiser Clydesdales getting interrupted by the sheered sheep streaker.

Close runners-up for me include the lone pony trying to be a Clydesdale and getting a kind assist from the two other Clydesdales. "I won't tell if you won't" got a collective "Awwww" from my Super Bowl party.

Closely behind that one would be the Bud Light commercial with the bear attack.

There's only 3 of them that come to mind, the sheep streaker, the bear attack, and the guy who goes Goldberg on the girl in the park playing football, only for her to return the favor at the bar.

They really seemed to be lacking this year, but those were gold.

Ameriquest brought enough funny, but was anyone begging for MORE careerbuilder.com ads where the guy works with monkeys?

I enjoyed the ad with the guy who had the revolving wall for his refridgerator, and the guys on the other side of it being all "the magic fridge is back!"

Agreed that it was a weak bunch. Of them, my favourite was the caveman FedEx ad, only for the end where the guy kicks a baby dinosaur before getting stomped on himself.

Other than that, the magic fridge was good as well as the pickup football game-"You were open but now you are CLOSED!" The only problem with that commercial was the girl having to nail the guy in the end.

I am sick of Clydesdale ads.

1) The tackle football beer ad - had me laughing out loud, even for the return favor.

2) "Magic Fridge".

3) Dammit I missed the sheep streaker.

4) The Honda Ridgeline Yosemite Sam/Mudflap Woman ad.

5) Clydesdale pony - the wife loved it.

6) The Pizza Hut payoff with Miss Piggy. Okay, I liked the Muppets when I was a kid, and when this started, I was just ready to complain about the saturation of the Jessica Simpson ad. So for Miss Piggy to come out, then to start lobbing the pizza bites around, I lost it.

7) Bear Attack.

8) Caveman Fed Ex

WAY DEAD LAST) The H3 commercial.

Would you believe I only saw 5 minutes of the game grand total and that included the trick play the Steelers ran with Randle El throwing the TD pass.

I've got to agree that the Hummer commercial sucked. It seemed like it might have been good at first, but then it got too weird. A giant robot impregnates a giant Godzilla type monster, and then she give birth to an H3? Bizarre.

The magic fridge was good. I must have missed the tackle football one.

The ad that got the biggest reaction for me was the MacGyver themed MasterCard commercial.

I marked out like a little kid when I saw Richard Dean Anderson back in his MacGyver jacket, using various household items to escape danger. It was such a cool little moment that I literally got out of my couch when I saw the commercial come on.

It was even more fitting that it aired during the Super Bowl on ABC, since I grew up watching first-run episodes of MacGyver right before sitting down to watch Monday Night Football with my Dad.

My favorite was the Sprint Benny Hill Commercial. That had me laughing for about 2 or 3 commercials after it and singing that song the rest of the night.

Second favorite was the "Don't judge too quickly" Ameriquest commercial with the guy in the hospital. The wife and daughter's reaction when the nurse said "that killed him" was classic. Sure it was wrong, but it was still hilarious.

I loved the FedEx commercial, especially this caveman exchange:
"But FedEx hasn't even been invented yet!"
"Not my problem!"

I thought Pepsi's "Brown and Bubbly" was corny, but the other three people on my couch were caught singing it at various points. It also sparked the debate "Is Pepsi Brown or Black?".

I wasn't sure whether to laugh or be offended by the Ameriquest ad. Not as good as last year's "You're being robbed!" cell phone misunderstanding.

Enough with the bears, Clydesdales, and monkeys.

Nice to see Tedy Bruschi with his kids in the NFL Network ad.

OK ads, OK game. Nothing truly great. (except Tom Brady sticking it to the Steelers one last time this year with a coin toss going against them.)

How can you people not love the careerbuilder ad with the girl?

"Yeah I know how you feel. I work in an office full of jack asses."

"Hee haw?"

"No I do not want to start drinking now, at lunchtime." or something to that effect,

Yep. My Favorite.

The H3 commercial is old. I had seen it before - somewhere.

I liked the Nationwide "He's dead", the Awwww factor of the babp clydesdales and the office beer hunt best. Oh, and McGyvery Mastercard.

I was suprised at the weakness of: Diet Pepsi ads.

But there wasn't that ONE commercial everyone talks about.

As a former MacGyver fanboy, I gotta give it up for the Mastercard ad. Ameriquest's "He's dead" was okay, but no way are they ever topping the cat-and-spaghetti-sauce one from last year. I kinda liked the Diet Pepsi one with Jackie Chan. Other than that, not much that sticks in the memory (except for the wrong reasons, like Jessica Simpson's Pizza Hut ad, which probably killed Nancy Sinatra on the spot).

The other commercial I should have mentioned: The Bud Lite spot, where the guy had hidden beer around the office.

The scene where one worker was punching through walls and pulling out beer bottles had me in tears laughing.

I really liked the Michelob tackle football ad. I was only half paying attention to the Diet Pepsi ad and when they were singing "brown and bubbly", because of the deep voices, it sounded to me like "not in public". And what can I say about the GoDaddy.com ad? Just plain dumb.

As one who flies frequently, I LOVED the Ameriquest ad on the plane. The FedEx "caveman" ad was great, although I expected it to be a Geico commercial, what with the cavemen and all.

The ABSOLUTE WORST ad of them all was the MIND-BLOWINGLY STUPID "Whopperettes" ad from BK. Brooke Burke could've been naked on the swing and it wouldn't have saved it. And it was A MINUTE long, so they paid almost $5 million for the time.
