Jalen Rose and Toronto 1st rounder to NY; Antonio Davis (wh o will likely be cut and sign back with the Bulls) to Toronto.
This trade was all about getting another pick (which is actually Denver's lottery-protected pick) to make up for the pick Zeke stupidly shipped to Chicago in the Eddy Curry trade, but, once again, he takes back another overpaid player with no defense.

But as a Pacers fan, whenever I hear Jalen and Tony's names mentioned, I smile. Hey, I'd take both of those guys back in a heartbeat-- just not at their current salaries. | Kawshen

Rose is actually a 3 b/c he's old now. And actually, the 3 is the Knicks' weakest position (so to speak).

Playing under LB's system has REALLY exposed his weaknesses (ball handling, jump shooting, general decision making on both ends of the court). Apparently, these things and his general work ethic have rubbed LB the wrong way. No pun intended. | haz

| #5 Posted on 7.2.06 1008.31 Reposted on: 7.2.13 1013.47 | From the Raptors point-of-view, they are discussing here that Davis will show up for practice today, and most likely play out the season here, at which time he bolts as a F.A.
The Raptors free up a lot of Cap room, eliminate the need to sign two first rounders in the upcoming season, thus freeing cash to sign M. James and CB4...
If (and it's a big if considering the past) Davis comes in and plays hard and attempts to fit-in, having him mentor CB for the remainder of the season is a good thing...
It could also be a bad thing if Davis acts like an idiot... | dunkndollaz
