That Austin/McMahon disk is the sort of thing I want to see a lot more of. Start collecting some of the great feuds and put together disks with all the important matches and promos.

There's only one MUST BUY on the list -- the Pillman DVD. I'd pick up the Piper DVD if it had the video for For Everybody. Would watch Austin/McMahon if it had footage of Angle and Austin singing for Vince. Don't really care for another Hogan DVD. And definitely have no interest in seeing any Gagne on my tv ever again...

I don't want a Gagne, but there could be some awesome stuff on an AWA dvd. Curt Henning vs. Nick Bockwinkel, some of the Badd Company stuff, early Scott Hall, maybe some of the Flair cross-promotion stuff...I could see this being a good disk.

The Liger match, the Hollywood Blondes, the Hart Foundation, the memorial shows. There's too much to like to skip the DVD.

I thought "Hulk Still Rules" summed up enough of Hogan's career to the point where I don't know about buying another Hogan DVD set. It would have to have some really, really awesome stuff on it for me to buy that.

I'd buy the AWA DVD if it had some kickass stuff on it. Actually, if they made it all promos by the likes of The Crusher, The Road Warriors, and Baron Von Raschke, I'd buy it. Match-wise, they would have to have at least one Nick Bockwinkel vs Verne Gagne match. Hennig's title win would also be a must. I think at least one Hogan vs Bockwinkel match, too.

To keep things WWE-centric, they can even have the Midnight Rockers cage match (I forget who their opponents were), but I'm sure that'll make it.

I'll get the Dusty Rhodes DVD as long as it contains the Road Warriors eyeball attack and the Four Horseman breaking his arm. Also, it would be great if it contained the promo where he was standing with Sapphire and yelled out "If you want some of my brown sugar, come and get it!"

As a hyooge Brian Pillman fan, I must say I am very pleased (and a little suprised) that he is getting a DVD. It should be nothing short of tremendous.

Seriously, the WWE home video department is the greatest thing in the whole world.

I see three things I want:

The Pillman, AWA and the Dusty Rhodes DVDs. Depending what is on the Mangers DVD I may actually pick that up too especially if Slick is on it.

  • Austin vs. McMahon: The Definitive Collection
    -I'm all over it.

  • Brian Pillman: Loose Cannon
-I missed the boat on Pillman entirely, never saw him work or anything, so I'll pass.

  • Hulk Hogan: The Ultimate Anthology
-Nope. I already have his first DVD, and I cant think of anything I'll miss by not buying this DVD.

  • Born to Controversy: The Roddy Piper Story
    -Maybe.

  • The Spectacular Legacy of the AWA
-Most likely. I never ever saw any AWA ever, so I'm curious.

  • John Cena: The Time is Now
-Nope. I cant bring myself by buy any books or DVDs about the young guys. I'm more interrested in reading about the old guys from the 70s & 80s to hear their road stories, talk about the old territories, kayfabing their families, etc.

  • The World's Greatest Wrestling Managers
    -Most likely.

  • The American Dream: The Dusty Rhodes Story (2-disc)
    -Most likely.

Some of these maybe's I'll probably have to split the costs with my buddy then burn him a copy or something. I want to see them, but probably not enough to pay full price.

Piper: Possibly, depending on how much of his pre-WWF wrestling career is included. The more inserted on that portion of his career means the more likely I am to buy.

Managers: Depends on the managers. If it's Heenan/Albano/Blassie/Grand Wizard and matches involving their charges. Yes. If it's Harvey Whippleman, no.

McMahon vs. Austin: Pass.

Hogan: Pass.

Dusty: Probably. The Road Warriors going after Dusty's eye is shown on The Stars of the 80's DVD(or the Road Warriors DVD, they blend together), and I found a comp DVD with him getting jumped in the parking lot, so I don't need those. Throw in a WarGames, and it could be a major seller.

Cena: Only if they pay me.

Pillman: If it is mainly WCW pre '95, yes. If it focuses just on the loose cannon portion, I'll probably pass.

AWA: Definitely. And the cage match for the Midnight Rockers was against Buddy Rose and Doug Somers.

I'm all over the Hogan DVD. I have the first one and thought it was the awesomest thing ever.

This one can only be awesomer because it's an anthology and it's ultimate! Yes!

That's the exact reason why I WANT to get it. I've read so much about Brian Pillman in the past, but never had the fortune of seeing him perform.

I highly doubt we will see this one before Flair retires. WWE is all pushing DVD sales during a TV show. Ric'll prolly bet retired a year or two when the DVD is released. They get most (I am not sure on the status of Tully, Ole & WWE) of the horseman back for ONE LAST MATCH. Soon after that Ric is wearing a mask calling himself Mr. North Carolina and feuding with Stephanie...

Anyway... yea.

The only one here I'm absolutely getting is the Pillman one. The early stuff will be great (even though you know the retirement match that had Giant Gonzales is going to have to be there somewhere), but the Hollywood Blondes and the loose cannon crossing WCW to ECW to WWF is going to be great. If Austin isn't doing most of the commentary in this one, I'd be shocked.

Now as a pre-emptive question, did Steve Lombardi ever work with Pillman? I don't think so, but I'm sure his comments will be the most insightful. :-)

Netflix has the Benoit, Flair, Road Warriors, Foley, Undertaker, and Michaels discs just on a quick browse. So I would assume these would also end up there not long after release.

Great news! (By the way: I really like the fact WWE is telling us in advance what DVDs they are going to release!)

I will definetly buy:

ECW Bloodsport 1
(Well, amazon.com has already shipped that one!)

AND

Austin vs. Mc Mahon!
(Canīt wait for it! I hope itīs at least 2 discs and also includes some of Stone Colds best or most rare matches! Like Austin/Dude from Unforgiven, Austin/Mc Mahon from RAW and SVDM, Austin/Kane from RAW (Austins 2nd title!) or Austin/Taker from Over the Edge (Never released on DVD or VHS!)!)

I might also buy:

ECW Bloodsport 2
(Depends on the match list!)

I think I wíll NOT buy, but nonetheless would love to watch:

AWA
Piper
Pillman

I will definetly NOT buy AND wouldnīt even want to watch:

Hogan
Cena
Managers
Dusty

And where are the following ones:

Jericho?
Best ladder/tlc matches?

OR

4 Horsemen?
Best of RAW?
Best of SNME?
