----- First and foremost, THE MOST IMPORTANT TV NEWS ITEM 'EVER'!: MTV is moving TRL from 5pm to 3:30pm! OMG! WTF! DAC?*

RE: SMALLVILLE - RIP Pa Kent. Sorry, I HAD to say this, mostly because of the direction the show is going, it looks like they're sticking with an EARTH PRIME story line, which might give us an idea where DC is going with it's current INFINITE CRISIS series.
-
LAST COMIC STANDING gets renewed by NBC? Didn't they cancel this two seasons ago? Are there DVDs out for it?
-
CBS is ordering another season of ROCK STAR. I wonder who the new group will be?
-
NBC is finally putting WILL & GRACE out to pasture. Isn't this news about two seasons too late?
-
ABC's THRESHOLD will not be making it to a second season.
-
Steven Spielberg is producing another 'Big Event' mini-series for Sci-Fi called NINE LIVES. This nine hour series (Go figure!) is about people who have near death experiences and are contacted by or have contact with people they know who died. Sounds interesting.
-
The new season of THE SOPRANOS starts up in March with 12 episodes. After those, there will be another 'lengthy break' and will return next January with the 'final' 8 episodes. David Chase says there will defineatly NOT be any more after these 20 episodes... no film version either. Lets see if he sticks to this.
-
Sorry, WONDERFALLS is STILL cancelled. (Haven't used THAT joke in a while!)
-
ABC has ordered a seies called THE TRAVELLER about three tight knit college buddies. It turns out that one of them is a terrorist and the two that are not are frammed as being his partners, so they go on the run from the government. Expect 'many flashbacks' like on LOST.
-
Let's do a little math. (Lance Bass + Joey Fatone) + (THE ODD COUPLE - The writers and stars of THE ODD COUPLE) + UPN = Sucks? I think I got that right.
-
While still not confirming the pick-up of ARRESTED DEVELOPEMENT, Showtime HAS renewed PENN & TELLER: BULLSHIT for two more seasons. Showtime has also picked a series called DEXTER, based on the novel DARKLY DREAMING DEXTER about a serial killer working as a forensics expert. -----

Not necessarily. Remember SVU built up a pretty good following at that timeslot, and as long as NBC doesn't expect blockbuster ratings, I think Las Vegas can win the night. Of course, if you have ANY kind of life, you'll probably miss seeing the show.

Did you mean CBS's THRESHOLD or some other show on ABC?

It's back to the original format, with everybody living in a house, and I think they're bringing in more unknowns. They cut out the house and rushed everything after it was a summer hit, and the show totally bombed, so I guess NBC is trying to make it a hit again. Any word if Jay Mohr's back? | SchippeWreck

I don't care, but I thought i'd point out that TRL is already at 3:30. They move it to 5pm during the late Spring and throughout the summer and move it back to 3:30 during the Fall and Winter every year.

This MTV.com (mtv.com) story from October says the group has denied any involvement with the show. I hope for the sake of all the which is right in the world, that they won't.
I also read somewhere that they approached the surviving members of Alice in Chains to do the show, but Jerry Cantrell squashed that real quick. | Wpob

If nto Van Halen, then who? I can;t think of any other bandout there that would draw a large enough audience in to warrant a second season of this show.
Mind you, I loved the first season and thought they got a bunch of really good singers (JD, Marty, Jordis, Ty) that I would be willing to come back for a 2nd season IF the band is right. Van Halen would do it for me. Most anyone else would not. | CRZ

I've heard the exact same thing. I like Queen and think they will make a great show, but if given the choice, I still would prefer seeing Van Halen do the show. | Tenken347
