Probably. Here's the "Client Application" help section from Yahoo!'s site. I haven't ever done this because I really enjoy accessing my Yahoo! mail account on any computer, but it does look like it would be possible.

I've been using the Webmail Thunderbird extension for a while now. It's good with the usual webmail services (Yahoo, Hotmail, GMail, etc).

It should get the job done for you - and you'll have the option to keep messages on the server until you delete them from you inbox, if you like.
