I can't say it's a surprise. At least the show is finishing strong, despite no one watching. | Promote this thread! | | Packman V2

Here's a handy chart, courtesy zap2it.com (tv.zap2it.com)
--- Monday
8 p.m. "Deal or No Deal" (nightly Feb. 27-March 3, weekly starting March 6) 9 p.m. "The Apprentice 5" (premieres Feb. 27)
Wednesday
9 p.m. "Law & Order" (new time period beginning March 22) 10 p.m. "Heist" (premieres March 22)
Thursday
9:30 p.m. "Teachers" (premieres April 6)
Friday
9 p.m. "Las Vegas" (new time period beginning March 3) 10 p.m. "Conviction" (premieres March 3)
--- Ugh, my Wednesday nights just got tougher, with "Lost", "Law and Order" and "Mythbusters" all on at the same damn time. I'm sure "Heist" will bomb (just a feeling about any show on NBC these days), and "Law and Order" will wind up back where it belongs, at 10 PM. "Conviction", Dick Wolf's new show, doesn't have the "L&O" heading, but the show takes place in the same universe, and Cabot (Stephanie March's character on "SVU") returns from the witness protection program to mentor young ADAs. I hope it's better than "Trial By Jury".
And I'm going to miss "The Office", when it goes off the air in March. Are they showing a full season, or was the order shortened to accomodate Steve Carell's shooting of "Evan Almighty"? And was a "Bruce Almighty" sequel REALLY needed? | Teppan-Yaki

NBC made a smart, albeit conservative, move on Monday for Deal; there's really very little competition for it to go up against on both nets. Besides, it's going to go to syndication in 2007 anyway.
Regarding the L&O universe, it's SVU that is actually doing the best, so I'm not surprised that the granddaddy is being moved up. I'd rather see SVU take over Thursday nights and ER move to Tuesdays myself. SVU and Earl would give Office much better traction, IMO. Office, Roy., is on hiatus due to Carell's filming schedule.
I'm actually hyped about Stephanie March coming back to TV, even if she is married to Bobby Flay in real life.
Finally, I'll give Heist some sampling. The problem is that NBC is in the position of follower, and not leader (with the exception of Deal, and *that's* an internation format, natch). For NBC to do well, it's going to have to think outside the box once again before the other nets get a better format first in order to get back in first. | Peter The Hegemon

Everything I've seen so far says that he won't be involved in the actual finale, though I'd hope that they'd at least interview him for the retrospective that will air beforehand.
This actually opens up a whole new bunch of rumors for the Fall '06 season- NBC has Sorkin's new pilot "Studio 7 on the Sunset Strip" (Behind the scenes at a SNL-type show). He really likes to reuse actors, and there are already rumors about Brad Whitford moving into that series. | redsoxnation

Perhaps during the 1 hour retrospective before the series finale they can discuss some of the Bartlett Administrations achievements during the year that they skipped. | Freeway

| #9 Posted on 22.1.06 2344.05 Reposted on: 22.1.13 2344.29 | As for The Office...they've got a 22 episode order. They've aired 13, with #14 showing this Thursday, #15 showing on February 2nd, #16 on February 9th, #17 on February 16th and then a break for the Olympics. March 2nd: #18 March 9th: #19 March 16th: #20 March 23rd: #21 March 30th: #22 [Season Finale]
There's no real "hiatus" here, just the fact that they aired all the original episodes en masse thinking it might tank...and then when it didn't, they were left with either a gaping hole in the middle of sweeps, or a gaping hole after sweeps. They opted for "after", it seems. | Roy.
