I dunno, I thought TNA was a member of NWA before I'd even read the Wiki article. I also remember reading on the Torch Web site about TNA acquiring the rights to the NWA titles instead of not having full membership.

Doing a Google search brings up some old press releases on newsgroups. Also, I don't think the NWA would approve of a non-member having their initials in an URL like www.nwatna.com (TNA's old addy, this URL comes up on Google) unless the non-member was in fact a member.

the NWA site has TNA prominantly displayed, and TNA's website has the NWA symbol beside the Universal Studios logo toward the bottom of the screen...so I'd assume they're members still.

edit: clearing up is good.

I pretty much have to agree with what every one has said so far. I have been attempting to get into TNA now for about 6 months, and I just can't help myself but to fast forward through have the show (god bless tivo).

For the same reasons why I couldn't stand WCW, these same signs are starting to show for TNA.

It has been mentioned that yes, everyone looks the same;
long hair, black tights.... it's boring, it really is.

The theme musics are all the same. They should really take note of what WWE does, get some music that has a build-up for the wrestlers to actually wait to come out to. Now Christian's is close, besides his theme song being an Evanescence rip off, it does have a build up... they need to either teach their talent to wait a few seconds before they start walking down the aisle, or make new music.

There are way too many run in's! It's actually quite pathetic, whether it be an in ring interview or during a match. I actually saw a in ring a few weeks ago, and there was no run in, and I thought they screwed up.

Get rid of the fat asses. I am sorry but Somoa Joe, is a fat piece of crap, and is embarrasing to watch.

There are too many stables! This isn't WCW's NWO red vs white.

Get better story lines. As cheesey as some of the WWE story lines are getting now days, they are still entertaining, and that is exactly what wrestling is now, sports enteretainment. If your wrestlers can't work a mic, then you need to build them up before hand.

Thats all I've got so far.

Wooooooaaaahhhhhhh this is where you lose me. Joe's been in the best match on the last three or four PPVs. I wasn't at all familiar with his ROH work but his TNA stint is enough to put me on the bandwagon. He's really super great.

You've got a good point on the theme songs. They should maybe think about starting some of them with catch phrases or sound effects just so we know who's coming out. After the first few seconds, who cares how generic it is?

Also, I like Shane Douglas as the baackstage guy. He's fun.

This is symbolic that you have no idea what you are talking about. Do you have any evidence to back this up? That at every TNA PPV he performs in the best matches. How in ROH he elevated that organization and their world title above and beyond whatever indy fed has been before. How he wrestled numerous one hour matches with CM Punk. Please explain to me how a fat piece of crap does.

You obviously have Samoa Joe mixed up with Mark Henry.

What's so great about David Young?

And yes, Douglas is fun.

I agree about Joe's look. He looks pathetic. He appears to me to be a fat, out of shape guy. We all can have our opinions.

So I guess Mic Foley and Vader who were all pretty fat in their careers (unlike Joe who never looked like those legit fat asses) also looked pathetic and out of shape. I never saw Mic Foley do a suicide dive, corkscrew planchas, or mafia kicks.

To me he just looks like he has a typical and thick Samoan body type. He doesn't look fat and out of shape at all.

I don't know where you guys get this ridiculous perception. How can someone that's fat and out of shape do what Samoa Joe does? I don't see roid freaks like Chris Masters or Dave Bastista doing a fraction of what Joe does or moving as quick as Joe does. Nor someone like Mark Henry.

So one of you novices, please give me some legitimate reasons other than Joe looking "pathetic, fat, and out of shape."

To me Joe looks like a walking tank I would never want to cross because he'd kick me until I cry.

Seriously, Joe is the smallest Samoan I have ever seen. He's like, half the size of Rosey. And forget about other, larger Samoans like Yokozuna. Joe is lean and mean compared to any other Samoan I've ever seen.

See, that's the thing about Joe I like. He's not some muscle-bound meathead that totally sucks in the ring. Here's this guy you look at and think, "Eh, what's so special?" ... But you see him in the ring and you think "Damn, this guy could totally beat the shit out of me." ...

Taz didn't look all that intimidating to me, since he's not the biggest dog in the fight. But he could literally rip your nuts off and make you like it.
