| #1 Posted on 12.1.06 1604.32 Reposted on: 12.1.13 1605.08 | IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you live in the UK or Ireland, there's an open call audition this Saturday for the next HARRY POTTER film. It's for the part of Luna Lovegood and they're looking for a 'young girl age 13 to 16'. If any of you Brit W's are interested... for your daughter or something, the auditions are start at 10am and you need to be at the Central Hall Westminster, Storey's Gate. They're asking for the children to NOT wear costumes, make-up, or high heels. If you go, please post a message about how it went.

See No Evil looks pretty good. (seenoevilthemovie.com) Bitch, please, you know you're gonna LOVE IT! Personally, I love that Kane is getting to the big screen before John Cena, but that's just me. Did you notice porn maestro Greggory Dark directed it?

The Chronicles of Narnia is officially named 'a series'! PRINCE CASPIAN is expected to begin filming late this summer with a Fall 2007 release.
-
Spike Jonze has agreed to direct the live action version of WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE for Warner Brothers. This should be extremely good.
-
Lionsgate is already asking Eli Roth for a sequel to HOSTEL, which just opened pretty good word of mouth buzz, much like SAW.
-
Chuck Russell, who did a great job directing the remake of THE BLOB back in 1988, is set to direct another remake with PIRANHA! His first film was NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3 and his last film was THE SCORPION KING, so it's tough to call if it'll suck, but THE BLOB was quite good.
-
Sam Raimi is directing a remake of LABYRINTH? Well, not really; he'll direct THE WEE FREE MEN which is a book by Terry Pratchett which seems to have the same plot as LABYRINTH. Has anyone here read this book, it's supposed to be part of a series?
-
So, you thought Tim Burton has lost his edge after doing kid friendly films like CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY and CORPSE BRIDE? Think again, his next film, with Johnny Depp, will be the film version of the musical SWEENEY TODD. In case you didn't know, it's about a killer barber. ...interesting.
-
Jet Li says 'No more Kung Fu.'? In what is supposed to be his 'last' martial arts film, Jet Li's FEARLESS, directed by Ronny (Freddy Vs Jason) Yu. It's supposed to be a lot like BLOODSPORT. Let's hope it makes it's way here to the states.

THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND looks incredible with the casting of Forest Whitaker as Idi Amin is quite scary AND perfect at the same time. Gillian Anderson is also in it.
-
Jon Favreau is now the director of the film version of Edgar Rice Burroughs' JOHN CARTER OF MARS. After seeing half of ZATHURA, I'm not expecting much, but the effects should be top notch.
-
OCEAN'S 11 was pretty good. OCEAN'S 12 was 'ok'. OCEAN'S 13, already in pre-production and set to film later this year... might be 'treading water'. (YES! I'm so happy to have been able to use that joke!)

I'm done, put a cork in me. Later!
EDIT: Hows the new look? is it easier on the eyes?

I heard on the local news radio channel that the plot is that a volcano in Arizona erupts spewing froth pre-historic piranhas everywhere. | ICEMAN

They're all awesome and Raimi is awesome and combining them SHOULD make for a lot of fun. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
