Did anybody else notice figures in there when they had that shot from the interior of the creature? I could've sworn one of them was Eko's brother. I don't know if that means the creature was gathering information from Eko's past, or if they were souls trapped in the figure. I'm tempted to lean towards the former, since Eko's brother was most likely dead before that plane crashed.
And, it's official - Charlie's a smack addict. But if he kept going back for more statues, didn't people notice that he was going off into the jungle every now and then and/or question him? Or was that addressed in a previous episode and I missed it for whatever reason?

Here (lost.cubit.net) are some screenshots of the smoke. Picture #9 is most interesting. I first thought it might be souls inside the smoke, but having seen that, I've revised that theory.

So how did the guy with the gold tooth die ? It appears that he jumped out of the plane before it crashed, and his parachute seems to have opened properly.
You would think Michael would realize that he was being set up for a trap when his "son" asked him if he was alone. Why would Walt give a shit if his dad was alone or not. But maybe Michael already knows that and doesn't care.
Kinda dumb letting Eko go and burn the plane when the gasoline or parts of the plane could possibly be used for other uses in the future (molotov cocktails, shelter or raft material). But I guess I wouldn't want to be the one to tell him that he couldn't go and burn it.
Claire kinda was harsh and went a bit overboard with Charlie. As far as she knew, there was no proof at all that Charlie was doing heroin again. You would think that after everything Charlie has done for her and her baby that she would have just chewed his ass out, gave him a stern warning and tell him that he better keep his ass on the straight and narrow....instead she immediately cuts him out of her life completely. After seeing Charlie's hidden stash, all she did was push him even closer to getting himself hooked again. | thecubsfan

Also, you'd think an uncontrolled fire like that would stand a chance of burning down the island, and you'd want to avoid that. | Big Bad

You forget that it's only been what, a couple of weeks (if that) in Losttime since Claire returned from Ethan's captivity with amnesia. She doesn't yet remember all of the bonding that she and Charlie did before that, since she's been more somber ever since her return, and still possibly wary of a guy who was all "We were great friends" as soon as she got back.
I'm just glad they finally gave Claire more than a handful of lines. She's still the only one of the original cast who's gotten only one flashback episode....get to it, writers!
EDITED to add that I just took a look at my Bible.....Exodus 10:16.

If Claire's Aaron spaketh this season, THAT would be interesting...

Back in Deus Ex Machina, Locke pulls the body out of the trees. I don't think he figured out what killed the guy, but I would guess his parachute got caught in the tree and that's what did him in.

Claire has been getting a bit suspicious of Charlie lately anyway, and I think she was looking for a reason to put some space between the two of them. Especially given how posessive Charlie's been getting over Aaron of late. (Remember how Claire felt uncomfortable with Charlie's parenting when he lectured her about bringing the baby when Shannon was screaming?) | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
