| #1 Posted on 11.1.06 2010.02 Reposted on: 11.1.13 2010.13 | Breakfast: Microwaved tater-tots. I like to microwave those until they get all hard and leathery. I like to deep-fry everything, but when I try to deep-fry them, they turn into little oil sponges and they don't get crisp. Yuck.
Lunch: Cheap breakfast sausage and rolls. I was cleaning out the fridge, and I found these. I think they are still leftovers from my relatives New Year visit. Both were uncooked, so they were still good. I think these got missed because we ate out for breakfast twice while they were here visiting.
Snack: Spicy Nacho Doritos. They are really not that spicy.
Dinner: Tater-tot Hot-dish. I am eating a lot of tater-tots today. Oh well; I like my hot-dish. Two bags of frozen green beans; microwave until barely done (no salt added during cooking). One can of cream of mushroom soup and one large can of mushrooms. Combine and top with tater-tots. Bake at 350 degrees until hot enough for you.
I think I should keep track of what I eat and list it everyday. Obviously my eating habits are terrible.
I also have another question for all you kind W's. As I was growing up, the meals were referred to as breakfast/dinner/supper. Having a snack was referred to as lunch. This caused great confusion when I met my husband because he used the breakfast/lunch/dinner nomenclature. Which words do all of you W's use? Is the use of the word "supper" a cultural thing? | Promote this thread! | | Eddie Famous

LUNCH: Chicken souvlaki pita (souvlaki, romaine lettuce, diced tomato, diced red onion, diced jalapenos, tzatziki) with fries and a big Diet Coke
AFTERNOON COFFEE BREAK: A bottle of Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper and a Dairy Milk Thins bar (the awesome new toffee kind)
SUPPER and everything after: Reduced-fat microwave popcorn. A handful of sugar-free peanut butter cups. A few pickles. A few glasses of water (had several during the day too) and a bunch of Diet Pepsi. And some gum, if that counts.
Been doing Weight Watchers for about 8 months now. Today was not one of my better days, though it would have been fine if I'd skipped the sugar-free (but not reduced calorie) peanut butter cups.
As for the names of the meals, I say breakfast/lunch/supper, though either lunch or supper can be referred to as "dinner" - I try not to do that so as to avoid confusion. The only time I ever hear "lunch" used meaning snack is when the snack is really pretty much a meal - like a midnight lunch at a wedding reception.

Good lord, where is the protein in that meal? After the operation I was told to get between 50-75 grams protein a day, but I don't see any in that menu. | rinberg

Eh. It's easy enough to plop it on the stove for a quick heat-up. It's just that they are about the perfect size for the stomach.
Can't have a lot of bread (it's like swallowing styrofoam), and staying away from sugars. Some food just doesn't work.
